Meteor shower tonight
But you have to be on the west coast so that will be just a few of us BC members.
Around 4am here so I have to wait over 3 hours before I go out but they should be nice ones.
Not seen very often either.

Re: Meteor shower tonight
Damn, I missed it.
Isn't it amazing, though.....the rocks that entered the earth's atmosphere last night were part of the comet that passed by the earth just before the birth of Christ!!!!
Incredible.
How was the show, Magic?

Re: Meteor shower tonight
It was short but sweet Mighty
I found out why I never saw the "aurigids" before since I have lived here.
They are in the lower northern sky and some to the NE and they used to be blocked by those old alder trees I cut down last spring!
It was getting to be a bit cold sitting out there after 4am and it turns out I could have sat in the house and either looked out the upstairs window where the pc's are or sat in the recliner by the 4X4 window that faces N/NE towards the pond!!
So next time these show up I will do that.
But the other ones during summer and winter are the ones you have to sit out and see unless you have a glass roof on the house
But they were nice really bright ones that flashed across the sky and looked like they crashed into the ridge north of my place.
Which of course means if I lived on the other side of the ridge it would have looked incredible.
Over there is the place called Discovery Bay so you could see them flash over the water there I bet.
Amazing how a lil grain of sand or dust will enter earth atmosphere like a ball of fire or a muslim tossed out of the space shuttle
Btw nice picture Mr.President (except that midget iranian hitler)
