Its crazy… since you guys made me get the itch… I now have 2.5 lbs. of the shiny stuff. I think I'll sit back and see where this goes. Unless we get back down in the low $16, or better yet $15 range, I may sit out for a few "hands…"

Re: B.C Investing ( SILVER and Gold Pt 2)
Kurt, no need to sit back, at various prices from free to me paying 40 an ounce for it in 2011, when it gets to 50 an ounce I'll be in the market to upgrade to an ounce of gold. That's my long-term goal. I do have a half ounce italian horn necklace, that the Mrs bought for me 30 years ago, but I don't feel comfortable wearing any kind of jewelry, not even my wedding ring.

I agree Kurt........it will have to drop to where it was my last order ( I have about 12lbs )
The only gold I would wear is a Rolex
Wouldn't mind having lots of gold but I would rather collect it the way Parker Schnabel does

Then y o u don't want to make money if that's how you feel, if you have the money you buy at any price, hell I bought UPS stock at 7 dollars a share, 15 a share 65 a share and 80 a share, bottom line is to make money, not pray the market stays down..

Re: B.C Investing ( SILVER and Gold Pt 2)
Well that is one of those *investor* things and if you wanted the same amount in US Silver Eagles it is $415 but if you just wanted bars it is at $375.44 right now for the same amount of weight.
So about $15 more for the rounds.
I know some can say only *weight* counts but in the coin world the price goes up on top of the weight/spot prices.
Just look at the other years on the US Eagles and just last years 2014 cost more than the 2015 for a reason.
When I got my 100 Eagles they were $390 a roll for the 2014's
Now the roll of 2014's are about $10 more than than the 2015's and the 2010's are about $40 more than the $2015's
And YOW just 19 of the 1995 Silver Eagles are $850 !!!.....over $44 each oz coin
There is a reason for that.........so young investors that bought 2014's would be seeing a future interest far above just bars of silver.
Of course I don't mind my 100oz Sunshine Silver bar either and it is *BU*.......not a finger print on it.

Pretty sure it has to do with production in the year, the earliest Eagle I have is a 1990. I didn't start doing coins til about 4 years ago, I was strictly a rounds and bars collector.

Re: B.C Investing ( SILVER and Gold Pt 2)
Outstanding... Indy Star today ran a full page ad pimping OFFICIAL 1 oz bars of silver. You buy 6, but only pay for 5... because this is special deal just for IN residents. The cost for each of the 5 bars? Wait for it...
the low low special price of $57. Yep... $285 for 5 oz of silver. BUT don't forget the one free oz you get!!! My goodness... 6 - 1 oz bars of silver for only $285+ THAT EXTENDS OUT TO LESS THAN $50/OZ!
I'm sure there are shipping and handling fees as well. That there is "a sucker born every minute" is the concept working here, I believe.

Re: B.C Investing ( SILVER and Gold Pt 2)
Funny thing late last night I couldn't find anything to watch on my 250 satellite channels so I decided to check a shopping channel that said it was selling coins.
Turned out to be silver bars AND 2015 US Silver Eagles !!
Of course it is that famous BS'er who says he has sold hunderds of MILLIONS of dollars worth of silver on tv over his 20+ years (yeah sure you did)......but his price for any coin or OZ bar was $21.95 +shipping
I didn't see what his shipping charge was but he was claiming how his price is the best and as usual made up how much you have to pay if you shop some where else
Shopping channels do hook hundreds of blind fish but that jackass repeated how it was $50 an OZ not long ago so we better buy for his great price

That would be great and I would just order 10 in my name and 10 in the wifes name BUT the bad part is the shipping.
Shipping
Standard Delivery typically within 7-10 business days $14.95
CRAP if that was free shipping I would get 100 of them
They have that weird deal http://www.govmint.com/pages/2015-silver-eagle.html?ad=GV1100BA

Re: B.C Investing ( SILVER and Gold Pt 2)
Yeah I am on their mailing list too but I didn't remember the shipping there so I went all through making an order (just to test) so I could see if they did add shipping at the end of the order and just backed on out and as before they even email me to see if I made a mistake on my order or if they did
I probably should have replied by telling them I would make the order if they dropped the shipping

Their add popped up on my Facebook page, I don't go through and try to make an order, figure at that price for 10 oz they would cover the shipping price.
