Have fun and watch the local fireworks and all the rest.

Might actually get the wife to go watch fireworks for once since we will have the grandaughter here for a couple days and if both of them can stay awake that late I will take them on a drive to over where the military bases are here.

(Bremerton and Poulsbo)

No local fireworks since Port Townsend is a ^%$#@ing hippy town so they only allow matches and lighters for their *medical* fireworks they roll up or put in a pipe

Which is why I only go there once a month to my Chase bank.

We have indian fireworks all over the place (and casinos) but so far they haven't done anything like Texas

My favorite July 4 has to be in '85.

You'll never guess where I was during the fireworks show, and where I slept.

Think Interstate 40.
Think a few miles outside Barstow, CA.
Think desert.
Think campfire and roasted hotdogs.

It was pitch black that night out in the desert. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face once the fire went out.

I used a rock for a pillow and slept on the ground lol

None of the coyotes, snakes and scorpions bothered me that night smile

And I forgot to take my gun with me wtf

I also didn't have a flashlight with me wtf

Only a 20 year old who thinks he's invincible would do something as stupid as what I did that night.

But watching the Barstow fireworks display from that vantage point out in the desert on a small hill was probably the best fireworks show I ever saw.

Heading to Melburne to visit some friends who we havent seen in a few years, hope to be home by dark so I can enjoy a float around the pool and look over the lake at the fireworks.
