Winter BLAST!

When i checked this morning it was -16 with windchills at -43........

48 here today, my poor pineapple plants

They are saying we will hit 29 by sunrise in an hour, but it's still breezy so I'm hoping we don't get that low,

45 degrees and rain here for a week it looks like (low in the mid to upper 30's)

I think the one new palm tree I added last June did not survive the few days we had under 20 a month ago   

So I may have to replace it with something like a Monkey tree but I lost one of those years ago when it got down to 10 degrees and I also lost my first 2 palm trees that winter.

But it looks like my 4 windmill palms have been here long enough to survive as long as we don't get any GB-Chicago-NE weather.

I heard the high was only 71 in Phoenix yesterday and my Dad lives in Yuma this time of year so he is not getting cooked this winter down there either.

A balmy 10 with little or no wind right now. Short sleeves weather, compared to the last 72 hrs...

Supposed to be in the high 30's Saturday evening in Boston...the temp and possibly at least one team's score.

Yeah R&R stopped by today (he retired friday from 100 years at the military base    ) and I mentioned I was hoping for that cold weather to hit the road and maybe bring the temp up in NE to the 30's or 40's since that is not cold when you are on the field and they have heated benches these days.

Luck doesn't need sunshine to win   

But R&R still sees his Toucans winning the SB but IndyColt will agree with me on that one   

Sometime last night, I lost heat woke up at 3 am my eyelids were frozen shut, the heat worked at 10 pm it was toasty in here, oh well guess I need to call a tech in,

Well Kurt if that was winter here, I'm ok with it as it reached 65 yesterday and yes the sun was warm, hot even. By noon I was in my short sleeves, hope I have my SPF 15 ready for the weekend as we will be in the mid 80's
