Re: Kurt or 2Shock
Was that the NFL's call or the Ravens call or the O's call or the city's influence on the NFL?

If I'm not mistaken, don't exactly half of the teams open on the road? Conspiracy? Me thinks not...cravnravn wrote:Yet the Ravens had to open on the road..Something wrong with that pictureBlueShoes1 wrote:googled it...less than a mile walking.

Re: Kurt or 2Shock
Over the last several years, the NFL has scheduled the opener for a Thursday night at the home of the standing Super Bowl Champion. Thus, this season the opener "should" have been in Baltimore with Denver (or whomever) as the visitors.
BTW...there's still time to pick Cincy in tonight's game.

Oh, on the conspiracy. And you obviously saw my post last night, until I realized, it wasn't Thursday...BlueShoes1 wrote:Over the last several years, the NFL has scheduled the opener for a Thursday night at the home of the standing Super Bowl Champion. For the record I don't like much about that city and rarely go there if I can get out of it.
I couldn't tell you hardly anything about it except steer clear of East St Louis at all costs.

SB Champs open at home as Blue stated, yet the O's wouldnt budge off their 7;05 start time, our two stadiums are a hop skip and a jump from each other..

Cravster Cravster cravster............
Been to the city numerous times...........
As Blue pointed out, both stadiums are within walkin distance of each other.been two both places in the same day to watch Cubs/Cards and Rams,Vikes(preseason game when Favre was with Min) the same day.
The wife-n-I stayed at the Marriot which is a block away from busch.
My buddies and i stayed at the Drury Inn which is across the street from edward jones.
if your into the casino scene,Luminaires is right across the street from Edward Jones(been there of course ).Its a new casino they built there a couple years ago.
With LaClede`s Landing there too.(all in the same place). No need to take cabs(which there is a story behind this one**)
laclede`s has the bars/grills/entertainment food for whatever trips your trigger.........great food great time.check out the dueling piano`s bar(forgot the name).Awesome time!
** The cab story.......
The very first time when I was in STL.we seen the greatest show on turf vs Atlanta,it was the only time in NFL history that the very first two kick-offs of the game went for tds.
But anyways when the game was over,we wanted to do alot more drinking and wanted to go to Lacledes landing..Well us 4 guys hailed a cab and wanted a ride there, well instead of pointing us the right direction he said get in.
he took for a whole block and a half and said we were here......charges us 15$ the dickhead........
We all looked at each other gave him 15 with no tip.........
That`ll teach him......
If your into bowling, the Bowling HOF is also next to Busch stadium.Thats where my cardinal fan/foe goes when he is there...........Right G?
