I took this photo while vacationing on the Florida gulf (just returned). I was fortunate to have the ship pass just as the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. The bird adds a little something extra. Cool photo, huh?

Here's the beach where I spent 4 of the 8 days while I was there. Water temp was 76. Air temp all 8 days was in the mid to upper 80's. Tough life down there (or so my sister tells me). After getting back home and seeing the chill and all-day rain I'm ready to buy a place down there!

Yeah it is easy to tell why my Dad moves to his house in Yuma AZ every winter.

Up here 8 month of your life is in the house looking out the window at shitty weather.

What a damn waste of time

I need to figure out how to leave my place alone so I can at least just drive south and go places and stay at a hotel.

Where in the Gulf were you, our place is on Ft Myers Beach..

Norm We are in serious consideration of the move to Florida, I did the mistake of contacting a realtor 2 weeks ago, now hes my new best bud(or so he thinks)..We are looking in a section on the East coast between Daytona and Orlando..This is a great location, I have a close relative that lives there, this was a a building boom area from 2001-2009 then the shit hit the fan with the economy..My cousin tells me not a day of the week goes by where he dosent see signs for Public Auction..

Oh of course she would be with me since I never go anywhere overnight by myself and she can't stay home by herself since she always thinks "illegals" or "dopes" will break in the house and attack her

I guess if I had enough Ben Franklins to fill the trunk of her car off we would go on a long winters drive down south across the US (well where there are no damn hurricanes)

The problem leaving the house empty is if the gate is locked I imagine crooks would watch until they were sure they could break in......maybe I need one of those fancy security systems they have on tv commercial that will call the cops as soon as they tresspass.

Cop shop and the Port Hadlock Hotel (the county jail) is just 7 miles down the hiway not to mention I hear them on the scanner out here all night

She actually doesn't know where the Bens are or how many but it just isn't enough to make me finally "retire" and hit the road.

I won't do anymore flying until they go back to the good old days (that will never happen) but I like to drive and she can handle riding along as long as we drive HER car OR I buy a new one she likes......which of course will eat some Ben Franklins

I wouldn't mind getting a good deal on a new car big enough for me to drive and haul stuff in AND get 50mpg.

I'll let you guys do all the flying to the Carribbean and paying all that dough to go to the beach.......the wife would rather go to Alaska (no effing way) and we have been by the Pacific for over a half century now!

I would like cruising around the good old USA and looking at all the places that I have only seen in movies (Monument Valley)....hell I even want to go to Niagra and Lake Michigan is incredible from all the trips flying over that ocean.....so Indiana would be on my schedule since I have to play at a few golf courses in your area (if I can still get my back to let me swing the wedge)

So if I pull up in your driveway some day..............
