HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Despite the better half wanting to jump in the Edge and "go for an adventure," I'm sure I'll have an enjoyable holiday weekend+!

I will probably just be staying home and I usually mix some concrete for my 4th of July (not sure why)

I put the date on each one so I guess that is for who ever is here next.

I can usually see fireworks over the hills and far away.....

Decided to head south to French Lick, IN and stay overnight at the French Lick Resort and Casino.

Hang out at the pool, get some good grub, enjoy some jazz on the patio w/ some top shelf bourbon, some action in the casino...

Then back to the homestead on Sunday.

Just a quick get-away to re-charge the batteries...

She's taking the next 2 weeks off work, so its a kick-off for her summer break. I, on the otherhand... don't see an end in sight to the daily trudge to the salt mines... 2 weeks off? I'd be out of business. Nearly am anyway with the economy as it is. Late pays, no one buying anything, businesses closing down... its ugly out there, guys.

Kurt......i`ve been to French Lick........The home of Larry Bird.
My Dad and I drove to charleston S.C. back in 92" to visit one of his buddies.(We`re both site see`rs)
So of course had to stop through Augustus,GA. to see the where the Masters is played(of course they got a brick wall around the whole damn place so you can`t see inside there),had to see the Smokies,Blue ridge and of course French Lick.
The reason,my Mother was a huge huge Bird fan.She just adored the guy and still to this day likes the Celtics cause of him.(This is where Magic smiles I guess)

There used to be a nice Larry Bird gift shop that of course we bought souveniers for the biggest Bird fan alive.(I swear she`d leave the ol`man for him).

So enjoy French Lick Kurt,I didn`t think too much of the town,but its historical in my book.

Well I like Larry Bird now that he is retired......but never that leprechaun team he had to play for.

Hey Kurt they had a PGA down at the French Lick course last weekend.....you could have watched Tiger hit em into the pond

Looks like he is doing that again this weekend.

Got my new 58* wedge in the mail (the Cleveland CG15 laser groove)

So I guess I should go outside since the sun is out for once.

Layin' in bed watching a movie and I thought I was hearing fireworks in the area so I go outside and can hear them from the north so as I am looking in the sky I see the ISS flying over me again.

Perfect timing....not sure why I have this luck unless it is the Tesla on my mind

French Lick's life revolves around the French Lick Resort and casino and the West Baden Hotel. Not much else going on there. Those are two beautiful places, though. I've got a deck of cards I can send you... casino used with the hole drilled. That or I'll get you one (a chip) the next time down.
