Whats going on in the galaxy
Seen 2 shooting stars in the eastern skys this morning, was there some kind of show that I didnt hear about?

It's the persieds. The shower peaks early afternoon on the 12th, so the morning of the 12th (midnight to dawn) and late evening are the best times to watch.

Best ones you can watch in the summer.....the other good ones are in the winter so it is a bit cold then.
I have been watching them for about 40 years now.
(but then I have some clouds out this week to mess this up)

On a clear night you can see over 100 per hour and even several one right after another.
Have fun and hope you see some long bright ones.

Pretty amazing, and they are shooting from all different directions,I seen 4 in 5 minutes, no long ones though..I had to come in, looking up I think Im triggering the vertigo again, and I cant have that 48 hours away from my vacation.
