Heres a handy gadget..
Of course this is sold ONLY to copy your old VHS tapes to DVD, or to back your own DVD collection....(of course )

In case anybody ran into the problems I did, lots of old VHS movies that i wanted to dub to DVD, but my DVD recorder is copy protected and won't let you do it... this little baby is just the ticket.. I got mine ordered today!!!
There is also another model out that also lets you record directly from HBO and showtime and such but it's about 90 bones... I'm thinking about ordering that one 2.

Re: Heres a handy gadget..
I need to copy about 50 vhs tapes to disc some day when I figure out a fast and easy way to do it.
For some reason several of the older vhs tapes won't play because of alignment in the vhs machine I guess.
They only way they play right is if I poke something under the tape to pull it up as it plays and then it works fine........not sure if that will screw up a disc copy/burn unless I try it I guess.
Funny thing is I was using this old silver spoon to stick in the machine under the tape as it plays since it was laying on top of the bigscreen.
I can hear it now...................(I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth.....)
