Another Hot Summer Day Rca_0122

85 degrees and I spent the day taking sand out of the creek and trying to smooth out my 20 year old putting green.

Since I have had this tasty ale in the fridge for about a month I figured this is the right time to have my second beer of the year .....had my first on monday on the 10th hole @ Discovery Bay golf course (it didn't help)

Unlike the Brits I put mine in the freezer for about 45mins

Brown Ale 6% and it's a pint and 6oz"s.......yow.....lot of beer for me drinkbeer

Funny thing is I went to a doctor appointment last month and they give me this surprise piss test (first in my life)

They must of been shocked when they see nothing but ZERO on every single thing they test for.

Bet they have NEVER seen that from a guy with a foot long beard and hair almost to his waist.

My grandaughter tried to get me to chop all of it off the other day and said it makes me look 80 years old........of course an 11 year old doesn't know what *80 years old* is lol

Now if it was all gray I probably would shave it off joker

It does make a summer day even hotter and I tend to have that hair up under my hat in public (ok Kurt may know that song I just borrowed a line from hey_mon )

Not even half way through the ale yet so.........(omg the Treasurer is a teetotaler) ....well I did have to look that word up wink

I'm watching The Factor right now so yeah one of those guys laughing

Hey I better see *Chips* in the mail when I head to town this week cowboy

Oh Magic, I'd say about 50-60 years ago there was this thing invented, a small carrying case, so that way you didnt have to saddle up your horse and buggy and travel into town everytime you had an urge for a cold one..

It was named a 6-pack, you should try one instead of driving into wally world for a single ale cowboy

LOL.....well the beers I drink cost between $3.65 and $5 EACH

No way am I buying 6 at a time especially since I don't even drink 6 beers in a year so they get a bit old if I finish the last one in 2016........as we get rid of Opuppet lol

Looks like this year will be 3 beers total.....and the microwave was the main reason we went.

Funny thing the wife and her sister just left to go shopping AGAIN Rolling Eyes

Unfortunately we had to release this monster, what a fight we had to pull up anchor and reverse back to him as he was stripping off line too fast.

No we kept 3 a bit smaller, crazy rule here Redfish dont start reproducing until they reach 28 inches, so they slot your catch between 18 and 33" you can keep 1 per man, over 33" you have to release, he was 38"..We are having a fish fry in 2 weeks so we got a good head start, and next week my cuz is going to Tampa for the last weekend of scalloping..So we have a good menu for our fry.

Ah OK........weird way to do that since I just figured they did that with the smaller ones like they do here with fish and crabs.

The lil scallops or those big ones?

I used to eat those lil scallops back in the 70's and they were tasty for sure.

Have fun Cravn.........I get to go out in the hot sun and do yard work wtf

Well since it is the day before the new football season and it was a perfect day here for doing work I started on a project I really need to do.......so I don't have to do it next year since you never can tell when you start rolling down the other side of the hill  lol

A couple years ago you may remember that death defying job of putting the new roof on the pump house tower.........well this time I need to replace the 40 year old posts that hold up the one half of the upper level where the stairs attach before they dissolve and it starts falling down.

Good thing I have all the lumber and concrete in my collection of stuff.

Worked until 7pm just getting all the stuff that was stacked under those steps since 2008 and then digging up and hauling off about 10 loads of dirt and then mixed 200lbs of concrete and poured the one corner where the main support will go and that was as far as I got today and hope to get out tomorrow and haul a 18ft long pressure treated 2X10 that is in the rafters above my Cutlass (that will not be easy)

Put it under the tower and then put 3 pressure treated 4X4's as support and pour the five 80lb bags of concrete so that bulding will last another 100 years and then buy more concrete and pour a slab under those stairs to store that stuff again......move the lower wall over a foot and then maybe I will be able to store the 3 tons of wood pellets down in the lower area and maybe even enough room for the John Deere so I don't have it in the garage any more and I won't have to back the Jag out every time I need the mower  wtf

Since I have a feeling that I better get the hard jobs done before I am officially over that hill   king

Then  watch the thursday night game and have my 2nd ale of the year   cheerstoyou

(doesn't everyone have a HD satellite dish in their storage buliding? )
