Keep Going "Indian Summer"
Thats what they call it around here anyway........summer late september and early october instead of the usual rain and cold and wind.
Been dry for a few weeks now and they say another week on it's way which is why my 1970 Cutlass Supreme has actually been sitting outside for the last 10 days which pretty much hasn't happened the last 28 years here.
My 34th summer taking her for a few summer drives.
Hopefully some free time so I can go cruise and burn this $4.00+ Obama gas
But I did get time to do some minor repairs/oil and filter changes so she will be ready to go back and spend another 8 months in the garage

I bet you a Ben Franklin you are wrong.
But I remember you blaming that bad GW and complaining about gas getting close to $2

Hey!!!! No politics on this damned board!! You hear??!! But, since you introduced it and I'm open-minded and all about the upcoming election...tell me:
How will four more years of Obama be any different/better than the last four years? And you gotta make a case for "The One" without disparaging Romney. 1...2...3...GO!

Re: Keep Going "Indian Summer"
Well you know who I am voting for.
It amazes me when people say Mitt doesn't know anything and has no foreign affairs skills.
Tell just what was it that Barak Hussein Obama had from his street days in the city of Chicago
Hell we have his own words on tape describing all his bs from his book and many other places.
He is a puppet with no skills at all and reading a speech written for him off paper or a monitor is not a Presidential skill.
Smoking weed, eating dogs and snakes, being taught by his insane father and mother and getting a free ride to Harvard ........lawyers and are almost always bs'ing crooks.......only the ones you don't hear about are worth a damn.
He is a lying limpin pimp rapper and even his faking like he knows nothing about Rev Wright or all those infamous crooks in his old home town and he still wears a teflon suit and his skill of hitting the 16 trillion deficit mark is not something to brag about or his Obama Care.
He acts like he killed all those jihad idiots and on the other hand will say GW caused all the trouble and he had the famous "Job Done" thing hanging on a ship and act like THAT makes Obama look good.
If it was up to me we would go back to the days when actual men were President and came from wearing a Generals uniform not some suit he got payed for by tax payers in Chicago.
The business skills are not even debatable either......well unless you watch msnbc and read the huffington every day for your news.
Btw when I see this bs on the espn NFL General board I erase it
.....and yeah GW's last summer in office I filled my cars with $1.67 gas and put them in the garage and when they came out we had Obama........and the rest is history....that I am glad I am not a youngster right now and don't owe any money or have any in a bank.......my last and only election/politics post here

Re: Keep Going "Indian Summer"
Barry's gonna win this thing so Cravn will be happy. I'm gonna clean up on all the bets I'm taking with tea party friends. Kinda think I'm gonna vote for Gary Johnson (Libertarian). At least he supports the Fair Tax.

Re: Keep Going "Indian Summer"
Its not that Im going to be happy, its just Mitt is an ass clown, hes running on how he cut Mass. unemployment rate to 4.7% but do you read the fine print on how he did it?? millions flew the state doing his time as Gov, so if you add it together, he did not cut unemployment.
Im with Magic here, whomever is our Pres should have spent time in the Military, and not as a reservist neither..

Re: Keep Going "Indian Summer"
Gotta agree with Blue, here. PotUS is gonna be reelected. Not a big fan, but Mitt just can't help himself and many just don't feel comfortable with him. Me included. (Not that I like the PotUS mind you...)
I do like that he was able to get the movement on the healthcare issue. Don't care for the plan on the table now, but at least we have movement. Something has/had to be done.
In my opinion, these are the two weakest candidates I can recall in my 37 years of voting. Well, at least as long I've been paying attention...
I could make some comments on our local races, but only a couple would care or understand my comments. I'll spare you.
I'd run for office, but the dirt they would find would be longer than my 'good-things' list... which means I've enjoyed myself.

Re: Keep Going "Indian Summer"
I'm about half-way through reading Woodward's latest "The Price of Politics". It's the inside-the-White House story of all the "negotiations" that went on last summer (of 2011) when Barry and his minions were trying to get an agreement on raising the debt ceiling. It's incredible how child-like these guys were protecting their political territories, quibbling over sacred cows, etc. Obama is clearly the empty suit, in the empty chair with the empty promises. Arrogant, inflexible, and demanding as a "leader". Boehner and the house republicans weren't a whole lot better but the POTUS is supposed to be able to lead, negotiate, stroke the politicians to get some sort of win-win for everyone (or at least have everyone feel they got something out of a negotiation). Never happened with Obama.
The frightening thing to me is the man's gonna have another four years with no concern about re-election. Me thinks the shit is really going to hit the fan. Either that or the Republican House (God I hope they retain control of the House) will continue to at least put up appropriate roadblocks to the idiocy Obama will attempt.
I honestly don't understand how anyone could ask for 4 more years of what we've just gone through. How does anyone voting for "The One" expect things to be any different? Is he suddenly going to grow a brain? Will he put on his big boy pants and learn how to lead? Or will he continue to slough off on his duties, lose himself in ESPN, party
with the hip (J-Z, Beyonce, Rhianna, etc.) crowd, and continue to try to improve his golf while the debt continues to go up a trillion or so each year? I fear for my grandchildren and what they'll have to face in this country in another 20-30 years. Sad state of affairs all brought to you by "The One".
