Ha listen to what I did Magic
Got tired of the crappy sound PC speakers unless you pay $$$$ for a special surround sound set... So I had already gotten a bluetooth soundbar and sub for my flat screen.
So I got one of the Vizio soundbar and subwoofer combo for Christmas, took them up to the office and now I use that set up through bluetooth for my speaker system. Awesome Jamming to Celebration Day right now LOL Great sound, wireless and I think you can buy the whole thing for what $100?

Keeping an eye on the paper for the soundbar deals daily.
Got my 55" LG 240 Mhz, Smart TV 2 weeks ago. Waiting to pounce on the right soundbar when it comes available.
I'd question the $100 price tag, though... The ones I've been the most impressed with are in the $400-500 range. I'm holding to the $250 max price, though. I'll get what I want... sooner than later. Polk, Harman Kardon, etc.

Re: Ha listen to what I did Magic
Yeah I have been thinking about getting something for years for my 82in DLP just to hear what it would be like compared to just what comes with the tv.
I was going to just connect a cable to the tv and put down through the floor and back up on the side of the livingroom where I have my 1000 watt Carver magnetic field amps and Carver vacuum tube output preamp through the Bose 901 VI speakers I rebuilt years ago but I need to send the damn preamp in for some updates to a guy in Oregon and I just never get around to it............and it may be cheaper to try something like you have now.
I have to do plenty of work on my damn $20,000 high-fi since I also need to send in the Carver vacuum tube output CD player since it quit working after the drive belts turned into a stretched out rubber band like all the high-fi poly materials of the past (that happened to ALL the expensive speakers of the 1980's)
All I can use the thing for is playing FM since the Carver FM still works and so far the amps never failed.
Of course Bob Carver would love me to hand him another $10,000 for a pair of his new vacuum tube mono block amps

I got the JBL for around that price CK, I already had the sub though.

My surround sound speaker setup:
Center channel: Bose VCS-10, sits above the flatscreen (which is only 46 inches...I never inflate MY size)
Rear channel: In-wall mounted Polk Audio SC65's
And the piece-DE-resistance (as they say) left and right front surrounds: My 30 year-old Bose 10.2 II freestanding floor speakers with solid oak cabinets and direct-reflecting mid-range and tweeters. The sub-woofer is a Polk Audio 10" powered PSW-505:
I turn this baby up in my condo, put on something like "Top Gun" or "Casino Royale" and drive my neighbors nuts.

I guess if I amke it to your age Norm I may shrink to half my size just like you have
Actually knowing me I will just buy a bigger one
I hope the 82in lasts for years but they usually have to have the bulb replaced once since it is a Mitsubishi DLP
But I have had the 67in since 2002 and it is back when the new versions were that monster sized box with the rear projection screen on top and the bottom half a bunch of speakers..........so if it ever dies on me I will replace it with a big flatscreen which would sure make a lot more room since it is my bedroom tv with over 10 years worth of stuff on top of it.......and I would have to figure out wtf to do with all that stuff since you sure can't stack stuff on top of a flatscreen
I can't imagine living with other humans as close to me as you are since when I am home alone I do crank the tunes.......even now with just the FM and the 1000 watts
Doesn't that piss your neighbors off and have them all complain???

This isn't for the games, John. I't'll be for the Blue Ray and things like my Crossroads 2013 CD... to hook my phone up via Bluetooth to listen to my music... to tap into Pandora via the Smart TV and kick back to my Laid Back Beach Music station...
The games, hell, I'm usually THERE... can't beat the sound quality of LIVE.
