Thanks bro!!

And for the record.. Windows media Center is AWESOME on an HD tv... My aunt let me hook up my lappy to her new LCD with the HDMI connection and it's really awesome..

I think I need to buy a new TV and download everything to a HD and go totally digital....

No problem my friend!

Yeah WMC is great as usual and I always have had fun using the different versions of WMP and have WMP 11 on my XP machines.

I am still using my 67in projection HDTV and just waiting a bit longer for the prices to drop even more on the flat screen versions and updates with the different types.

DirecTv sent me an offer in the mail for the free upgrade to an HD dish and up to 4 recievers but I only use that dish for NFL sunday ticket.

I am thinking about calling dish network to tell em and ask if they will give me the same deal since I already have that other version and they have a couple channels I can't get on Direct.

But then if Direct could get the couple locals I want then I would take that deal and dump the dish network one for good.

I still get lots of free channels on the big dish too.

Have you got one of the dual processor machines yet?

This one is the P4 3.2 dual I got last year and now you can get them real cheap and if you build your own they have the dual P4 4.2's on sale too.

I haven't heard anything about a new hack for it yet Cravn...

I hear "through the grapevine" that the new thing now is streaming free cable TV through the PC.... I haven't tried it yet, but have "heard" of a few people that have got it... I'll see what I can find out about it and get back to you.

Hmm, I hear lots of horror stories about Dish. I still have Directv(actually having to pay for it sucks though LOL) I had the whole set-up to hit my own cards back when it was possible..(bootstraps, loaders, a reliable hacker...)

You know I've never built my own system, I thought about giving it a try a few times but never did it... I might give it a shot sometime thoug(my plate is a little full right now though..)

I finally got around to putting my CD collection on the PC though.. I think I'm going to buy a Zune in the next couple of weeks too....

I'm also going to try and rip a few movies to the HD just to see how it works and how much space they take up..

Now, if I put the music and movies onto a back-up external HD could I move those files from my laptop to the external to free up HD space on my system?

Oh yeah that is easy and is pretty much the same way you could do with XP in your system tools
