ESPN Play of the Day Empty ESPN Play of the Day

Post  Guest Wed 29 Feb - 10:17

I hear the ESPN #1 Play of the Day was the final shot (game winner at the buzzer) at the game I attended last night. Our side lost. It pitted the #1 and #3 ranked big schools against each other in our state tournament's opener. (They don't seed the tournament - blind draw) They had played twice before this season and split. Packed gym (4000 or so), incredible environment, and probably the best HS game I've ever seen - and that includes a huge number of games.

That kid - a Michigan State recruit - probably wrapped up the coveted Indiana Mr. Basketball award last night. He had 4 points in the 1st half. Then came back and took over, with 31 in the 2nd half for the 86-83 win.

Awesome night of HS hoops, for sure. By the way, he banked the 3 pointer off the glass from 35 feet. Wonder if he called it!

Dude, I have no idea how to do that... look up 'Gary Harris game winning shot' on youtube. The court had a big N in the middle.

Well good shooters can do that Kurt......not as much when you are in HS though.

When I played City League here I had a bank shot I used to make from the spot where the halfcourt line touches the sideline.

THAT is a long 3 pointer!

Did it twice in games trying to win a close one and made it both times.

That clown that used to be a member here pretty much hands me the ball from out of bounds and I just turned and fired it and with all that spin it hits the glass and goes in faster than the other players can do anything......they never figured I would shoot that.

Another time I made one from halfcourt straight out........funny thing is there was lots of time on the clock and I still don't know why the heck I did that Basketball

Never missed a FT in City League......and never made a penny doing it wtf

Hard to watch pros go out and shoot bricks all night.

That's the one! Crushing defeat for the NC Panthers, but have to say the best team won.
