Heading South!!!

We were going to fly till I checked prices, Ive been monitoring flights from Bwi & Philly into Daytona or Orlando..Any where from 300-500 per ticket!!! Im not prepared to spend 1000 on airfare to florida..Then we have to rent a car, then book a hotel, then eat for a week..Lets not forget, that Pods wants 5500 for moving & storage, and our settlement here is slated for March 30, but I think that will change since the guy buying this place works at Homeland Security and has been out of communications for the past 10 days.

Its ridiculous for Fl to charge those kinds of prices..

Oh, how funny I went thru AARP and rented a car in Md, Harford County for 141.00 a week unlimited mileage.

Just this past May when went to Fl to seal the deal about moving there, we got flight, hotel and rental car 850.00 for 2..Im a miser when it comes to trips..Wait til the Mrs finds out that my goal is to drive straight thru..See I do suffer from road rage

You can figure about 11hours of driving, I'd guess. Took me 17.5. Be safe!

Im banking on 17 hrs of driving..Its 982 miles, we leave Saturday at 2ish, we should be in Deltona 8:30 9am Sunday am..

Hopefully the hotel gives us an early check in, we have a Birthday dinner to attend Sunday afternoon at 5..

About 100 less than my trip. Keep your eyes open for the redneck state troopers in the Carolina's!

Worse trip in my life

I got fucked twice in South Carolina, I said hey what the fuck and stopped for gas at South of the Border, 3.69 a gallon...Filled up hit back on 95 and dam it gas was 3.49...Then the salt in the wound, we stop at a hotel, get settled in its 11:50pm..Put the luggage up, tell the mrs Im going to the kwik mart for a couple of beers, I'll be back....Grab my beers, but them up on the counter, and get the strangest look from the young hillbilly punks that are waiting on me..They tell me its 3 after 12 so that makes it Sunday, and there are no alcohol sales on Sunday in South Carolina..

Thats a whole different ballgame..Have to have 2 weeks of Fl paychecks before we can start a contract on a home, so house hunting has been put on the back burner..1. Jobs, 2. place to rent..

1. Found the home to rent, not what we wanted, but the woman offered us a month to month lease...So thats what we need..My wife with her bakery management experience has 2 real good job leads, so thats a plus..I just got a call from Home Depot at 7:50 this morning for an interview, unfortunately Im 982 miles away, so they are going to call me back.

Oh, and our home is officially SOLD, we sign papers today at 2pm

Renting sounds like an excellent option. Time to look around and time to learn more about different locations, etc.

60's??? I like the 90 degree Friday I just experienced, grabbing a beer and flopping my fat ass in the pool..

Oh and ya know how tired iam? Agent calls and tells us we have to be in central York at 1pm, I rented the car that had to be returned by 2pm today..Some goofy ass farmer wanted longer daylight, so I lost an hour of sleep, after driving 15 hrs yesterday..

We made all commitments, but signing the gazillion papers in the realtors office, I swore the Mrs snored

Its going to be an early night tonight.

Well gang, its almost Miller Time...

Folks have moved up our settlement to April 11, and want immediate occupancy so that means showing up wednesday afternoon, settling and jumping in the U-Haul to head south..
