I'm Going Outside Cravn
In a couple minutes the ISS will be crossing my part of the sky and the sky is clear here so the stars and planets are waiting
Jupiter is still out following the Moon with below that looking West (I don't get much of that angle thanks to tall trees)
Also Sirius, Mars, Mercury.
The last few days of February and first few days of March offer a rare chance for people at mid-northern latitudes to see at least a half dozen of the night sky's brightest objects simultaneously, 30 to 60 minutes after sunset.
In order of brightness these are the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Sirius, Mars, Mercury

Re: I'm Going Outside Cravn
Gotta admit that celestial show last night was damn impressive. The crescent moon, the two bright stars - one above, one below.
It it Turkey's flag that bears that scene?
Was on the road returning from a HS basketball game and got to watch it drop into the Western horizon for a couple hours... very cool.

Re: I'm Going Outside Cravn
Hell Yeah!
I got out early enough to see the Moon and the planets before they were set off in the west behind the ridge
Jupiter up next to the Moon and a REAL bright Venus down below!
Around 9 or 10:00 your time you can look in the opposite direction and see Mars rising in the east and it will get closer each night followed by Saturn around midnight.
I will try to get out a bit earlier tomorrow and try to get a picture.
(I went out and tried with my cheap camera)
