Pretty cool (and free) web browser. I'm gonna use it for a few days to see if it beats Firefox (for me anyway). Internet Explorer? WTF is that?

I tried that one... I think. It had too much Google-garbage as I recall - not as much as IE mind you - but more than Firefox. I'm lovin' my Ffox.

Google Chrome has been having problems since it came out and still does.

I am always amused when I see people saying how firefox and chrome and others are so great (on the espn nfl general board) and IE is bad.

Explain to me why I NEVER had ANY problems with IE 7 or 8 and so far no problems with IE 9 beta.

I could see if you were on a dialup but if you need firefox or chrome to browse.....on a cable or dsl......

Googles plain old search engine with just the free PC Tools never fails and I am on right now with several pages loaded and watching the Lakers game on atdhe.net at the same time while posting this.

So if you can't do all of that you either have a dialup....or browse the porno sites too much lol

IE is s..l...o...w and, for me, surfing is all about speed. Firefox beats it hands down plus the many FF extensions make it very tough to beat. From what I've seen so far, Chrome is faster than Firefox but lacks the extensions. I do like the way Chrome maintains snapshots of the last several pages visited and almost instantaneously takes you back there by clicking on a a page image. Speed, speed, speed.

BTW, current streak is at 6! booya

Yeah but you are on cable so how can it be slow using IE8?

I have no problem and all the tabs have as many pages loaded as any sane person would want at once.

I click on a page and it loads the complete page within one second with all the extra bs like a espn page will have.

So just loading a page with most of the stuff not even being there and no faster just looks like a half blank page like I used to get with a dialup years ago

I have tested those other browsers but see nothing good about them.

I would just see guys bitching because they said the espn boards didn't load fast enough for them to talk shit as fast as possible......explains all their typo's lol

Hell I even see them claim the "blue screen of death" which I have not seen since W-98 with IE5

So how could it be possible for me to run on a dsl with 5 pages loaded posting on the Streak for the Cash boards while watching one of those illegal links to watch the games from over in GB with not one second of delay????

(and 24/7 at the same time I run the Einstein Project sending and recieving chunks of data)

Btw I did have a Streak of 5 last night but I picked those Phoenix Jackasses to win and they decided to spend the last 4 minutes just fouling and getting turnovers when they had the lead.

So I am starting over again bluehoo

Chrome is ok, just be sure to disable the Google analytics.... otherwise they are spying on you more than MS ever wanted to..

I really like Opera these days.... easily the fastest browser I have ever used. The folks that have problems with IE I think are the more inexperienced users.... FF is still and always be rock-solid though.. I love the fact you can remove all the flash-based LOS cookies with it... (yep they can still stick you that way, even if you have cookies disabled)
