Re: The Laws of Musical Physics 101
CK you like George Clinton?!?!?!?!
Wow man, did you catch him live with the Pfunk all-stars?
Hell yeah...I LOVED Parliament Funkadelic, went to one of their concerts at RFK Stadium in the early 80's...I also worked with a brother that said the drummer was his god father, I didnt believe him, til he took me over to meet him..Ive been a Dennis Chambers fan ever since, when he wasnt touring with PF, he played at a little jazz club in Baltimore, the Mrs and I would go and see him.

This, from 1961. . . ah the memories of those high school dances
And then there were the Four Seasons (who inspired the fantastically successful "Jersey Boys" on Broadway. . .if you can get there to see it, do so).

Re: The Laws of Musical Physics 101
LOL....ah Beldar that is one that could be used on the ESPN general board......unless a moderator was watching
I am thinking maybe I was born 100 years ago because if it isn't one of the pro games or mad scientist stuff I think I should have been in the TCM movies I have to watch every night to keep the modern shit out of my mind
From the 1920's on up to the 60's
Just watched a 1962 flick and that is new to me "Panic in Year Zero" (Ray Milland)
http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title.jsp?stid=86186
"The Asphalt Jungle" from 1950
"Adams Rib" from 1949 (Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn)
A day of Sherlock Holmes flicks from the 1940's but I only watch the ones with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce...which is most of them.
1939 "Ninotchka" with Greta Garbo (the black and white version)
And the legend Humphrey DeForest Bogart who started in 1921 when he was just 21 years old.
And NO commercials.
Works of art unlike 99% of the ones in the last 30 years.
(I do like the"The Green Mile" 1999)
Ok back to it...................

I could watch those old Sherlock Holmes movies with Basil and Nigel all day long. The Charlie Chan movies are pretty entertaining as well if just for the dialogue. TCM is great entertainment. The old movies are the best to me but I'm sure it has something to do with my own age......LOL...... I don't know about all of you but this Christmas was one of the best ever. Good food, family and a warm comfy feeling despite the cold temperatures outside.....Life is so good when we stop and contemplate what we have. I know I sound like the optimist who sees all through rose colored glasses but despite the problems all around, I see the beauty of it all in family, friends and circumstance. And I do like showing some doctors they don't always know what the fuck they are talking about...........

Yeah they are one of my favorites Mighty.
They started in 1966 which was about the same year I started watching the Colts games.
I was always ahead of kids my age when it came to music because my Dad got me hooked on electronics and I had a radio back then and would scan the dial looking for stuff that sounded good and that is how I started listening to them.
Between 1967 and 1972, The Grass Roots set a record for being on the Billboard charts for 307 straight weeks
The lead singer is Rob Grill who I saw not too long ago doing one of those shows on PBS and he still sounds the same.
