Re: The Laws of Musical Physics 101
Hmmmm......the 70s.
Let's see......Happy Days, CHiPs, dreaming about eating Chrystal's snatch, tearing it up on my Kawasaki KM100 (also tearing up my body), Salitos, my buddy and I filling up a 2 quart canteen from my pop's wine hoard, then talking another dude into taking his dad's El Camino out for a spin....and then rolling it
His dad kicked his ASS

Ok, I'll chime in as well...
Nice choice there, Magic.
early to mid 70's were HS daze for CK... yes, that's spelled correctly.
Disco was king. Herbal remedies were the rule of the day. Especially those sticks from Thailand... and that (corned beef) hash.
allegedly... so I'm told.

Yeah Seabird and I heard those rumours some where too
But I always banned disco and that "prince" crap from my house......ask my ex if you don't believe me
I would throw disco on the fire and light up some Jimi Hendrix or Zeppelin and Sabbath.......still have all my vinyl classics like this Humble Pie classic
That is my Wall Street investment
I guess I better dig up another Humble Pie classic.

Re: The Laws of Musical Physics 101
THAT was hard to look at Cravn and my amps would melt the truck you have now even covered with snow
1975 I bought this the day it came out and played it on the Phase Linear with Speakerlab corner speakers @ 2000 watts per channel.
And I still have this
A work of art....sight and sound and no travolta's allowed in my county.

Re: The Laws of Musical Physics 101
Humble Pie... outstanding call-back... again!
While I bobbed my head to the disco, I also stared at the wall to Humble Pie, Alice Cooper, The Allmans, mix in some George Benson smooth jazz, Spyro Gyra, George Clinton, geez... I give up the list just goes on!
Way too many to even try and list them all here. I didn't stick to one style or genre of music. If it got my head bobbing or my feet moving... it was all good!
I'll let Magic post the ones I rocked to and would have never come up with on my own!

Re: The Laws of Musical Physics 101
Magic did have speakers that shook windows miles away. In the northwest we are so far behind that we not only still have vinyl we still play vinyl. I went to many burn the disco parties at magic's . Disco was never king up here and I think we are better off today because of it.

I appreciate the 70`s now more then I did back then.......
The songs I listened to then,I can`t stand anymore:Aerosmith-Rush.(they both make me wanna hurl).
The songs from the 70s I listen to now are like a couple songs from Steely Dan,Bad Finger and one from Boz Scaggs(can`t think of the others off hand..........)
but sorry Sea Bird, but i`d rather be listening to the music that is out now:
Linkin Park,Foo Fighters,Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown to name a few........
And Mighty my lady was the blonde from "Abba".....and Farrah......... lmao
Also that was a good choice of some "Humble Pie" Magic...........

OoooooKkkkkkk.
How about the 60's? You young whipper snappers!! Four Seasons, Platters, The Beatles (of course), Dionne Warwick, Barbara Lewis, Simon and Garfunkle, Mommas and the Papas, Chiffons, Temptations, Miracles, Four Tops...you know, the "MoTown Sound"! Got all of them on my Ipod and play them pretty much constantly. Right now I have my top 350 and I'm trying to create a Top 100 Favorites playlist -- quite a job.

Re: The Laws of Musical Physics 101
Well granpa Blue I actually started listening and collecting in the 1960's
My Dad worked for the local power company so he started by giving me things like the old AM radio and then the funky old reel to reel tape machines and I went on to 8-tracks and cassettes but when I got the FM that is when I found my music
Just like the 70's there is 2 kinds of music.
My list starts in the early 60's and I pretty much don't like anything in the 80's,90's,or this century
Now Ian Anderson started in 1962 but Jethro Tull started in 1967
I just mention this one because he is actually in the area nov.14th at the Moore Theater (wish I could go) and in fact another visitor last friday was Roger McGuinn (The Byrds)
One of my favs and one of a kind who is still playing from 1969

We ignore the 60's too much Beattles and Elvis. Plus we wernt old enough to drive in the 60's..Like a select few in here. So f we didnt drive, that means no craking up the music. means no chicks in the backseat,

Well I must admit I tested IE8 (beta) before it came out and after and it was good as far as some security stuff but I still prefer IE7 which is why I can do what I do on the espn boards.
IE8 won't do that.
But I'm not sure what you mean.......just what is it that you don't see.....if you can actually answer that
And being a scientist I can explain why Cravn listened to and even liked that trash.......he pretended he liked it so much since girls tend to like that crap so they can dance all night.......another thing I consider a waste of time.
But then I never used music or dancing to get some chick
In fact late last night I was listening to the Pink Floyd members in a interview and they mentioned how they made music for people to sit and listen to.......which means it is actually well written and played music by guys that are real good at playing the guitars and drums....and keyboards.
I went to many concerts in the 70's and always brought a girl but we never stood up and starting jumping and spinning and not paying attention to the bands or the music.......because I knew I was still getting some later when we got home.
Not to mention had some memories of those bands that didn't involve doinking later that night.
If you have to pay all of that money it is sort of like an expensive hooker
In a car????
Really Cravn????

CK you like George Clinton?!?!?!?!
Wow man, did you catch him live with the Pfunk all-stars?
I've seen him quite a few times and he puts on somew of the best shows I have ever seen, (and I have seen ALOT of different acts as well) I remember back in 93 or 94 he played the Vogue here until about 5am one night.. It was classic, I remember that one (well sorta... it WAS a Clinton show LOL) But I remember the vogue staff started calling last call at like 2AM and Mr. Clinton was on fire that night and he just stops the show and tells the folks running the place... "I'm George Clinton, and this is MY house tonight.. I'll pay any fine you want me too, but we are going to turn this place out tonight..." The staff just shuts up and keeps things going until he was done. He's VERY underrated for the musician that he really is..... He also conducts and writes many, many movie scores these days as well......
I still wanna catch him and Prince when they play together sometime... I heard the funk is sublime on those nights when Prince shows up (they are good friends)

You are having a flash problem CK......ColtsKurt wrote:Magic wrote:

You should try to uninstall adobe flash player and then re-install with the newest version and see if that gets things fixed..... OR download firefox 3.5 and see if it is happening in that browser as well.... if it works in firefox but not IE then you have some kind of mailicious software hiding in your machine somewhere that is attacking IE. If you can do everything else EXCEPT video though then it is most likely a flash problem....
And CK getting perfectas? and The Bengals are in first place in the AFCN, Favre is in Minnesota and a black man is in the wshitehouse..
CK getting perfectas is just icing on the cake that the world might end soon..
