I had the gas company check my lines

to see if that was the reason why my bill went up so high...
Just so happens my old man is retired from the gas company, and the guy they sent out was one of his old friends from Citizens gas... so he tested the lines.... (and I helped him since he was friends with the old man) so he didn't find anything wrong with them...
NOW for CK, since I know he's probably on citizens gas, I got a little "insider" information...... He told me that they closed the Coke plant on prospect so they could raise the prices on gas, and that the reason for the big hike this winter was because they panicked when the gas prices were sky-high last fall and bought a bunch of gas at $14 a thermal unit. Now gas is selling for $7 a thermal unit....
So basically us folks in Indy took it straight up the ass.

Dont feel bad, the folks in Maryland are paying anywhere from 102-13.0 per therm, Im hearing horror stories on talk radio, 600-800 a month electric bills!! My daughters went from 75.00 month to 225.00
Hell my electric is only 2 bills for 3000 square feet of home.

We are still firing up the pellet stove early in the morning for a couple hours for the wife but since last uctober to right now we have only burned 60 bags of pellets and I bought 2 tons for $400 this season so we burned about $240 bucks worth since last october.
My place is just 2000 sqr ft but the upstair stays warm just by the pc's here and the heat that sneaks up the stairway.
Not bad for 7 months eh?
