Couple weeks after I turned 21 and that day it was a friends birthday and we drove out over all the tree branches to see the bridge before anyone else did (in his sisters car)

I climbed down the part sticking in the water and got a couple pieces to bring home.

I have a bolt with the nut on it that snapped off and has about 50 coats of paint on it from before it fell in the canal.

Didn't have a camera back then.

And BC former rookie known as "Hustler" was born 3 weeks after the new bridge was opened.
