every car in the series runs on ETHANOL.....

if it's good enough to power 230 MPH racecars it's good enoug to use everyday.

REAL race cars don't have fenders.... that looks like a bunch of Taxi-Cabs trying to pick up a fare to me.

NO SHIT, 2shock!!!

NASCAR has the upper hand marketing-wise as we speak, but now that Tony has taken care of business and unified open wheel racing, won't be long until Indy Car is back on top!

There is absolutely NOTHING like the start of the Indy 500! NOTHING!

I agree CK....

It's like the famous line from platoon.... there ain't nothing like the Indy 500.....except maybe a blowjob....

Cravn you come out here next year for the Indy 500 and let me show you around the night before the race and raceday..... You'll see what real race fans are like and can see a real racecar hit 240+ in the backstretch and the main straightaway and you'll never look at those overblown taxi-cabs in the same light again....

Just look at it this way... way back when Richard Petty hopped into an Indycar to test at the speedway and turned a few hot-laps and wouldn't get back into the car.... anybody can drive a taxi-cab.... you've got to have some nerve to strap into an Indycar and come close to 250 in the straights.

No seats, but I did receive an invite from IMS to purchase a $150 general admission ticket good for the Indy 500, the Brickyard 400, and the Motorcycle race. Kinda interesting concept...

I've not been to the race without a seat in the stands since I was a high schooler in the 4th turn... puking my guts out before the race was half over! LOL!

Hog Balls, you have a chick driving one of those missles..How hard can it be..And let me tell ya, In the "Good Ole Boy" club, no chick would have won a race her ass would have been planted on turn 4. Montoya is learning the hard way, NASCAR is american as apple pie, He'll never win a race.

And I'll be in Indy in the fall, you want to take me on the tour of the track, Im OK with that. But its already stamped into my mind that a track with no turns aint a race track, its afreekin beltway, I honestly dont enjoy the NASCAR race at Indy.

Soooo... you only enjoy Watkins Glen, Long Beach, and the other road course NASCAR races?

You must be a HUGE Formula 1 fan! Bernie's #1, Bernie's #1! Twisted Evil

(if it makes you feel better, the Brickyard 400 IS boring...)

one_finger_salute

That's a good idea... a tour of the track will have to be on the schedule.

Ehhhh I can take or leave "road courses", I love wide open, no restrictor plates racing, Atlanta, Daytona, Talladega, hell even my little track at Dover has high banks.

Umm Tony Stewert and Jeff Gordon both came straight from open wheel racing Cravn......

and they are the only 2 good-ol-boys that woul have the skills to be able to compete in the IRL...(even though Gordon likes to play both sides of the court, but he's cali so I guess it's normal for him)

and the big rumor out here is that once Tony's contract is up with Gibbs he's moving back to the IRL...... and it's MORE than just a rumor... because about a year ago we built Mr. Stewert a very nice state of the art open wheel garage in brownsburg Indiana... (anybody that doubts that can drive right up to the building it's off Ronald Reagan Parkway in brownsburg)

AND Danica Patrick would have aleady won more than 1 race in one of those taxi's........ the best young drivers are heading back to open wheel after the merger.... Marco Andretti, Graham Rahal.... Tony will be back very soon as an Owner/driver.... You guys can keep Gordon the bi-sexual in Nascar though...

The good think about indy racing is now they have a good lookng women in the field so I have an incentive to watch it. I'm not big on watching things go round and round when you can't even tell who's on what lap, but she can sit in my lap anytime lol

LOL too bad racing is all about speed and performance and not comfort....

Taxi-cabs...

I bet you could take a new york cabbie and put him in the Daytona 500 and he would win the race.
