There were some issues with my grandson's birth and my D-I-L. But both are improving at light speed and Mom finally got to hold her baby boy last night. (first time since birth on Tuesday)

Been a roller coaster ride this week. Total joy at the wedding, then the birth... to overwhelming concern and worry about their health.

Now that mom & son have been "reconnected," Grandma & Grandpa can hopefully get a full night's sleep.

Tomorrow will be a week since the birth and its looking like mom gets to go home. Sounds like Little Clayton's got a few more days in the NICU.

Sad they'll be separated, but Mom's stronger and Clayton needs a little more time. He's a big, strong boy, but his breathing's a bit raspy so better safe than sorry!

Things were touchy for both mom and son there for awhile. Been a tough week, but my week's been nothing compared to my son's.

He's made his father real proud over the past week. REAL proud. wuv
