Oh Noooooo, Mr Bill Bill

I got me a virus...The Boys play online in runescape all the time..Im running the free version of AVG, it finds the virus and deletes it, but within hours its back..I also ran Removeit Pro the free version, it also locates it, but when I go to delete it, it says it cant delete it with the free version, it also states that if I start up in safe mode, to try and run Removeit then, it can possibly delete it in Safe Mode..Problem is, when I start up in Safe Mode, the Removeit Icon is not on the desk top..

The Virus name is system32\hphmon06.exe

Any Help?

What you have is called "spyware/malware" Cravn

This is why I never use those free security programs.......they pretty much never work.

I have tested all of the ones you have heard of in the past but the only one I use is the CA "Internet Security Suite Plus" and I have the 2008 version right now.

Here is the link and you can do free scans there too.

http://shop.ca.com/malware/internet_security_suite.aspx

It has never failed.........the only time I catch any virus or spyware is if I run with the firewall off to speed things up but it still scans and finds them and actually gets rid of that crap.

You can check the Tigerdirect website and see if they have a sale price on the CA Security Suite too.......that is how I first got it since they add it to a new pc when you buy it from them.

Btw have you tried just running "system restore" yet????

Yeah that is what the hacker pricks do these days.

They knew that system restore was the one thing that worked good when it came to doing a quick fix when you get malware/spyware.

Yeah I will always keep that hotmail addy.....started that back in 1999 and it is like having a perfect hard drive that you can save all your important stuff on and not worry about losing the files to some hacker.

In fact I have my security suite code number stashed there mischief
