Damn I didn't want anyone to know I had Cravns password
Yeah there was way back billions of years ago water on the surface of Mars and right now there is more than just red soil (iron oxide) but also lots of ice on the surface and even more below the surface and NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander, launched on Aug. 4 will land some time this spring to search for and find the ice under the surface and in the future see if it is in the form of water deep below the surface and see if any critters can survive there.

Ok next time I will give you a science post using =SA='s password

Nice pictures Cravn!
You know how I am.......I watched every shuttle launch over the years on NASA TV (used to be called NASA Select in the early 80's and I got that with the military AFRTS channel which also used to show me the Baltimore Colts games )

Re: Water on Mars
Hey, have you guys heard the latest plan from NASA? They're going to crash the upper stage of a rocket into the polar ice on the moon. This will kick up tons of debris. Then right behind that upper stage is another craft that will fly straight through the cloud of lunar material that is kicked up, and detect the elements. NASA is trying to get an idea of how much water-ice exists on the moon. I heard this will happen early next year.
That is cool.
That is cool.
Re: Water on Mars
The Mars and Endeavour photos are crystal clear. You can count the grains of sand on Mars and the rivits on the shuttle!!!

Re: Water on Mars
You could buy that camera if you took out a 2nd mortgage. Those shots are so clear, it's like actually being there. There's even depth perception!!
