Re: 6 pointer 99!
Congrats!!!!!
I let a little doe go by this morning. She crept up on me and stood 10' from my stand. She got her free pass. If she comes by again and I haven't gotten a deer..... her luck runs out!

Re: 6 pointer 99!
Thanks...
He dressed pretty big. 185.... thought he had a bigger rack when i took the shot.
The good thing about my uncle being a farmer is...... Farmers can take as many deer as they want legally, considered a nuiscance animal....
So while I'm off work I think I'm going to put meat in all of my famlies freezers this year....
And I don't want to hear about it cravn....It will all go to good use.

Really? I have a cousin thats hunts in Orange County and he tells me that there are some big deer that way, I've never hunted there though.
So is he going to be a good son-in-law and bring you some of that awesome Venison summer sausage and jerky CK?

Re: 6 pointer 99!
Well, I'll certainly have to try it out, 2shock!
Funny thing is, my daughter is so pro animal, she can't even eat anything from the bone. No ribs, fried chicken, t-bone steak... none of it! Any mere mention of where it comes from... she's done eating. Darnd'est thing...
She will feast on the Cracker Barrel Sunday Nite Special though... country fried boneless chicken breast... wow, that's something!
Never owned a gun or even been hunting with friends. All that hunting is foreign to me. Sit in a tree all day... waiting. In a blind, laying on the ground with decoys all around... waiting. Just don't get it. Go for it yourselves... I wasn't raised around hunting and guns. I'll watch American Sportsman or something!

Oh man CK!!
You do't know what you are missing!!
Have him bring you some summer sausage and get some good sharp chedder and your favorite crackers and it's almost like heaven!!
That and the backstraps..(best part of the deer)... I dip mine in some honey and then fry them in butter.... Then have them for breakfast with cinamon sugar biscuits and apple butter... great stuff!!

Cravn you would never know it was deer meat if it was fixed right. I make a lot of mine into hamburger. Makes a mean chili!

God put those creatures here for me to eat...I also love to eat furry little bunnies and duck and pheasant as well.
I think you need to spend a month with Ted Nugent living off the land.
