There was no review. There was discussion among the officals. Referring to the initial call, referee Pete Morelli said, ''It was a ruling by one of the officials. The other official informed me that the ball hit the back of the extension of the goal post. ... We determined that was what it struck. Therefore, it made the field goal good.''

Field goals are, in fact, not reviewable because the league doesn't want to get into a situation where every close field goal is challenged/reviewed.

I agree it's a sucky way for your team to lose a game.

I remember that field goal very well. The next season the NFL decided to extend the field goal posts upward about 10 feet. Wonder why they felt they had to do that?

I do recall that field goal through replays and history, but the fact of the matter is.They stuck with the officials call that was under the posts of "good"
Now in the Ravens game, not 1 but both officials under the posts ruled no good. They play was reviewed, and over turned.

It was a great come back led by Kyle Boller, I think the kid is finally getting the gist of the game. New up and coming WR to keep your eye on. Devard Darling, finally got his chance yesterday and he did well, 4 balls for 107 yards and a TD. Ypu'll like him Kurt he's from Nassau, Yeah Mon!!!
