Re: THE RING!!!!!!!
All serious, that is a sweet looking piece of bling, and I just gained a little bit of respect for the weasel after reading the article.
The Indianapolis Colts received their Super Bowl rings yesterday and, of course, the design has to make some Baltimore fans cringe.
Here's the interesting part. Normally, diamonds are used to represent how many Super Bowl titles a franchise has won. In this case, the Colts' franchise has won two such titles, last season and, of course, the Super Bowl the Baltimore Colts won in January 1971 against the Dallas Cowboys, 16-13. Those two diamonds are missing from this ring.
Colts owner Jim Irsay, who designed the ring, said that he did it this way because, "We look at it as being the first one for the Indianapolis Colts and there was no need to bring up any friction."
