I saw Ronnie way back in the summer of 1980 at Memorial Stadium in Seattle when he was the lead singer of Black Sabbath (I didn't find out Ozzy was fired until the show started)

It was Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult and another band which I can't remember and I still have the ticket stubs but it only has BOC's name on the ticket.

The old stadium is right next to the Space Needle.

Ronnie sounded weird with Black Sabbath but after I saw that show I had to listen to his Dio music later and it was not bad.

Funny I had to look him up on the wikipedia and they talk about how nobody is sure wtf year he was born but they are pretty sure it was 1942 which makes him a bit old for touring these days but today on tv I saw a commercial for one of our local indian casino's that is having Blue Oyster Cult and the former lead singer of Bad Company this month!!

I agree.....his voice and style didn't fit Sabbath.

But he had an awesome voice. Holy Diver is great stuff.
