Magic Vista Question..
hey Magic!
I was just wondering if you had any problem with javascript being disabled with Vista? Somehow mine must have gotten turned off since Flashplayer was working fine beofore and now it isn't working... I know I have it because the Macromedia website said flashplayer was installed when I went to re-install it... Hmmmm I might have to fire off an email to microsoft..

Re: Magic Vista Question..
No problem here but flash is famous for doing that and it isn't a microsoft thing.
I had it happen on my XP Pro and home at first and it said it was loaded (macromedia flash) but it didn't work so I checked the macro site and they said to uninstall and try loading again and that worked for me.

Go to the site and check their support stuff and you will get it working again!!

Thanks buddy...
That was the problem!!
Didn't make sense since it was working fine after the upgrade and then just quit working all of a sudden.
Problem solved!

Re: Magic Vista Question..
How do you like the Windows Media Center for Vista Magic?
Pretty freaking cool if you ask me!!!
I think I need to go on the Microsoft tutorial though.. I'm still exploring what all this OS can do, and it's pretty darn impressive!!

Re: Magic Vista Question..
Yeah I like it too!
I have several pc's so I still run XP Pro and Home too and I got XP Pro the day it came out in Nov.2001
I have done "beta tests" for Microsoft once in a while too.
Since I always like WMP I always updated to the new versions on XP and I like to figure out all the tricks when I use one of the newest OS
Vista is great and one thing you always want to do is find out the tricks us geeks figure out so you can set it up the way you like.
I have been on the email list for WXPNews since it started and maybe you would like joining the group because they have all the XP stuff and they will be doing the same with Vista.

You will get tricks and tips and just figure out what you like as it goes.

Re: Magic Vista Question..
Thanks for the link Magic!!
I'll be sure to sign up for that one.
And for the record, I think the rumors that Vista won't run old hardware is false... I seamlessly hooked up my noisecanceling skype enabled headset, the wireless mouse, my logitech game controller, my chillpad for my laptop, and once I went online and got the drivers for my all-in-one printer it works fine as well(even though Lexmark pissed me off because I used the all-in-one as an internet fax as well since I refuse to let ma bell into my happy home anymore... when they upgraded the drivers the fax option wasn't included and you have to pay $15.00 for a disk version to get it!!! I already paid for that shit once, I shouldn't have to again in my opinion!!!!!)
AND it also runs 99% of my old software seamlessly as well...(games mostly, Madden 07 and Risk and WSOP championship edition)
So for anybody reading that was worried about that stuff, DON'T!! Folks had enough time to work that stuff out before Vista was released and 95% were prepared for it!!
