Re: Super Bowl XLI pictures
That's awesome, Kurt. I saved a few of 'em for my collection.
Hey, did you throw the ball in the QB drills at the Experience? I did, during SB 30. I have to brag about my performance. They gave me two throws, and I launched both of them almost 60 freaking yards!!! Not only did I get pro-level distance, both of those throws looked like Hail Marys....height and distance!! The first throw had a wobble to it, but the second throw was a clean spiral
Who da man with the pro-calibur arm!! That would be mighty_colts, that's who!!
Then I ran the 40 yard dash. The guys running this drill saw me launch those passes, so when it was my turn to run, they brought in a fucking wide receiver to run along with me........those assholes. That damn guy SMOKED me I ran a sub-six second 40, but that black jock sumbitch was already slowing down to a walk by the time I crossed the line
Of course, if I had constantly trained for speed like THAT guy did, I could have EASILY ran a sub-five and avoided being embarrassed like that
Anyway......those are a couple of my own Experience highlights. Too bad it rained in South Beach.....I'll go down there when I can. I have a sister who lives in Tallahassee, so I have an excuse to hit Florida

Re: Super Bowl XLI pictures
Nah, didn't throw the ball... but I did throw back some cold ones before and during the game! And at $10 a brown plastic bottle, I took my time! No speed contest for CK!
It was crowded, as we went on game day. Before game day it cost $15 to enter. On game day, only Super Bowl ticket holders got in - at no additional charge. I had no interest in waiting... I was too pumped for the game!

Re: Super Bowl XLI pictures
I ran the 40 recently....and I have yet to finish.
I started out quickly, but left my hamstring at the start line. It wasn't because I was hurt, that was just my excuse for not running it! haha
Reminds me of a skit by Redd Foxx when he was young...."I bet on a horse that went to the post at 20-1, and didn't get back to a quarter after 3! The radio announcer called him a "mudder" and that's what I called him when he lost my money 'you slow mother'."
Classic horse racing skit...It went on, but it was funny as hell.

Oh yeah, I didn't that throwing thing too! The ball went 65 yards, and my arm when 20 yards. I didn't get a second throw.

Re: Super Bowl XLI pictures
lol, did your arm fly through the air like an arrow, or was it kind of tumbling through the air, landing on the ground like a wet noddle? Talk about a lengthy post-surgery rehab
Hells bells, Kurt.......the time to hit those drills is after you had a few beers. You're relaxed and less aware of all the people watching. And if you've had enough brew, you'll make a dope out of yourself, everybody will laugh but you won't care
Hmmmmmm..........ya know, I wonder if I can still throw that ball 50+ yards. That was 11 years ago. I know for sure my 40 time is slower now, but I'll be happy if I can keep it under 6.5 seconds......but keeping it under 7 seconds is MANDATORY. It looks like I'll find out next February!!

Tumbling, that is why it only got to 20 yards, in arrow would have at least gone 40!

Re: Super Bowl XLI pictures
I was tempted to post that pic with Irsay holding up the SB Trophy but I must admit his picture is creepy enough to crash a website so I decided not to
I know my running days are over but after hearing Charles Barkley on Leno tonight saying he could run up and down a basketball court faster than any 50yr old and he loves betting money I would have to take him on with that one........and as most of you know he should pay me a million bucks if he lost a race to a guy that parks in the blue zone at the store
But I do think I could still throw a football 60yrds since my arms still work fine (weightlifting junkie until I can't do it anymore)
The only football I have is one my son took to the Kingdome years ago when he played in a "All Star" halftime game with his team and had autographed by some Seatoucan players and the ball is sort of flat from just sitting here so they don't fly much farther than Grossman can throw that way
I could still knock a QB out if he would just stand still long enough for me
(my fucking satellite isp shut down for an hour and a half when I tried to post this and as usual I couldn't go to sleep until it came back to life.....good thing I copy and paste everything now)

Re: Super Bowl XLI pictures
Magic.....I've seen your guns, so I'm sure you can heave the ball 50+ yards with no problem, probably without a wind-up But don't forget I'm a skinny guy who has to put everything he has into the throw in order to get respectable distance!! My hands are big enough to get a good grip on the pro ball, then I use my hidden "skinny guy strength" to propel the leather orb through the lower atmosphere!!
At the Experience there's also a dude who stands about 25 yards away from you to catch the ball if you don't throw it far.....so that dude would be able to catch Birdman's arm before it hit the ground
