Back Home Again In Indiana...

Well, the trip home was yet another chapter in our Super Bowl XLI adventure!

Flight from Charlotte to Cincy was cancelled due to the snow... had to stay overnight in Panther country with no luggage. My bags made it to Cincy but not us... go figure.

Stayed in a dump Quality Inn, but for $52/ night, what do you expect?
Laying in the bed watching TV... commenting on the wind noise from the cheapass windows... all of a sudden... THE FUCKING WINDOW FALLS INTO THE ROOM!!! Not a pane... the whole gawddamn window on the floor of the room! THAT was a first! Wife is freaking out thinking there's someone trying to get in... I'm just thinking WTF????

Get to Cincy and there's 7 inches of snow on the car... and I've got no scrapers or brushes in the car.

Oh well, the 4.5 days in south Florida made it all worthwhile. And the win made it PERFECT!

Lots of pictures... will probably do a shutterbug set up or something...

Mementos... well, the programs got SOAKED in the bag under the seat... all three. Left them there. I'll get you one, Magic. They're selling them here locally for less than they were there.

Three pins from the game... Mr. VooDoo will get one if I get a PM with an address. More later... gotta go to work... damnit!

Let's see.... next year we stay at Mighty's place....

Too bad it wasn't in Arizona this time Kurt!

I had a feeling things must have got soaked watching it pour rain the entire game.

So now you better sit by the fire for a while since going from sitting in the rain to freezing isn't a good thing.

So much for "Global Warming" in every State in the NE

I am getting sunshine and 50 degrees today so I will let the tree huggers say the global warming is just here and is making the rest of the people freeze and get buried in the damn snow!

I watched the DVR recording my daughter made of the game last night...

Yes, it rained... but the rain was not coming down as hard as the telecast made it appear.

I was soaked to the bone... you know... poured water from the shoes and all, but we were in ponchos. My Colts hat left a blue ring around my head. It was dripping wet. My blue dry fit sleeves bled blue that stained the collar of my jersey! Had it dry cleaned, still a faint blue. It will have to be my badge of honor to show I was there!

I taped the game myself Kurt!

How were you feeling after that kickoff 14 seconds in and then that INT?

I was cussing......and almost stopped taping since I figured that was the curse of taping (I quit taping Laker games years ago after that happened)

I probably would have worn my expensive leather Colts jacket I bought in Indy even though I have one that looks pretty much like it except it is vinyl and would have blocked that damn rain shower.

I know my wife would have left and went to the hotel and watched on tv just to see if I ran out on the field to save the game

But it is still sunny here and I sure am glad I don't live anywhere back east........now summer vacation is another story
