I go to their website and it says there it expired on the 7th of this month so good thing I never get pulled over.

So I go through the BS on the site to use my credit card to renew and then will have to wait to get the ONE tab in the mail (yeah they are so cheap here you only get a tab for the back plate these days)

And I guess (I hope) since it is Saturday I did NOT get any receipt or info saying I did pay for the damn thing.

Good thing I don't have to renew the tabs on my other 3 rigs since they are on the *Classic* list being over 30 years old.

They are too busy here figuring out how to run this weed business and get this money they dream about getting from these law abiding weed smokers/sellers  

That's all we get is one tab.............

And hmmmmmmmm I may have to start buying older vehicles.

Yeah if they do that in your State it sure can save you money every year.

Especially if it is a nice collector that you like to drive.

Right now they can be a 1984 or older which to me sure doesn't sound very old.

I even stopped using my personalized plates so they can't charge me for cars I only drive in the summer.

Well the only car I drive now in the summer is my 07` Corvette......I bought this back in September.
can`t wait for summer to get here..........

Also,the wife-n-I helped the daughter get a car a couple weeks ago and sitting right in front of me while signing papers was a 2009 jag for 20K..............I tought holy shit that was cheap.
I figured a car of that caliber would be 40 maybe 35k......
The salesman told me different,like 40k new.

but it was still a beautiful car.

Yeah the older a Jag gets the better they look and the 2009 looks better than the 2015

The problem with the older ones is they look nice but have all those quirks of the past like mine and the problem with some of the wiring and the rear disc brakes........you have to remove the entire rear end to replace the discs!!

And they are not where you would think they are like any other disc brakes you have seen........instead they are directly under the back seat about 3 feet from the rear tires so to fix mine I had a guy take a grinder to them carefully while still installed.

And of course the engines and trannys are nothing like an American car which is why when my engine started acting strange I removed it and installed a 350 GM engine since I know wtf I am looking at when I open the hood

I saved the XJ6 engine so if I sell it the motor goes with it and it could just be rebuilt.

I like cars (and trucks) that still have actual chrome on them instead of painted bumpers and plastic trim.

We only get one sticker also in fla same as MD and pa, and for what it's worth, the same thing happened to me 20 years ago, but I was not as fortunate as you, it was march 1 and I was on my way home from UPS, and bam, county mounty gets behind me at a red light . we go green and his lights come on..he was a real prick, told him I didn't get anything in the mail, he didn't want to hear it,

Car was impounded, got a ticket for driving on expired tags, all in all it was close to a 400 dollar fuck up.

I'll pipe in with my same story. Occurred to me I hadn't seen new plates or stickers for our two cars… Like you never received anything in the mail.

Wouldn't let me pay online. Went to the local BMV branch and told my "woe is me" story and they very nicely told me that the renewal mailings were merely a courtesy.

A courtesy… Oh well, a $25 late fee on each. At least no ticket from a cop to add to the insult.

They are typical GOV crooks like the IRS and the tax grabbers and cars and trucks was one they knew they could get tax money from the hundreds of millions of cars,trucks,and other motor vehicles including boats.

They still make me buy new plates every few years for no reason.........since they sit in the garage 9-10 months and the plates still look new so I have quite a collection of those plates here
