So Magic I had bought Windows 8

All I can say is that I couldnt get back to my Linuux boxes fast enough! LOL

Glad I only paid about $15 for that turd!

Well I have one with Win8.1 but only use it for Cern and Max Planck work.

I prefer Win7 as far as usual stuff and still like XP Pro even more.

BUT you should know it is Windows 10 that is being developed and YOU can join that too and it is FREE

I nevr paid for OS until I got an XP Pro just before they stopped selling them just in case and I got a Win7 on sale to use in case I had any OS problems on the other 6 pc's

And sure enough I got to use that Win7 disc to re-install it on all 5 computers including this laptop that I installed a SSD in and sure like it so far.

I know many high-tech computer geeks around the world and some are Linux just like you but I still see problems there all the time doing what we do (updating wrappers and testing work units with VB running along with Linux Science)

I still have no use for Linux here but I do watch all the versions from my Max Planck programmers.


BTW I was about to email you since you were starting to be seen on milk cartons in Indiana

Ha, no that was not me that put the cartoon in there...

BUT that being said I don't think it would have gotten the attention it got if they had not retracted it.

Our editor is a very nice guy, but you know... the cartoon had to pass editorial approval before it got published.... just saying... LOL
