King of Concrete 2014
Did this one last week to match the other one from a few years ago.
Concrete and red bricks that blocks the grass and weeds from sneaking in and so I can zip around it fast when I mow without stopping to pull weeds.
(yeah a crappy picture)
But today I did some more work on the upgrade of the waterfall to finish the 2nd half.........and it isn't easy to set up concrete in the middle of a creek
But I think this step worked and I will give it a week to cure before I finish the last section which should be easier than todays.

Well it is a bit easier to do the work around your place with that new spaceship in there.....or is it a time machine???
I figured if I mixed several tons of concrete and planted those 40+ Sequoia trees 500 years from now they would tell the story of the old treasurer back in the days when Mexico was taking over the USA and then changed its name to North Mexico

Re: King of Concrete 2014
Well back to work on the upgrade of the waterfall for my creek.
Started with just old bricks back 25+ years ago and several concrete updates over the years mainly for flood control but this spring the waterfall started washing the gravel and sand from under the big stones I put in so now I am trying to make a concrete wall across the creek there and hope for it to cure so I can do the finish work and remove all the forms I rigged up to try to keep the creek from rolling over the fresh concrete
So I just went out at midnight to check and as usual water started finding a way to sneak in and just enough to keep the surface wet and I tried in the dark to slow that down but I just hope it cures and I will even give it a couple weeks of sunshine first ( I hope)

Re: King of Concrete 2014
You have a creek
As for that Zalman heat sink........BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
I just re-seated it, went through all that hassle.......same result.
When running Prime95 and putting the cpu at full load, my temps hover close to 100C, and that is with the cpu at only stock 3.5Ghz.
I could be seating the heat sink wrong, but I don't think so....it's a pretty straight forward process.
I'm going water cooling, because I want to OC above 4.0 and still have max temps in the 70s.
That's too bad......I love the look of that orange orb

Re: King of Concrete 2014
Well I skipped golf today (another story) so I decided to cut down an old almost dead alder before it fell on a big flowering bush and the 40ft tall sequoia I planted years ago.
Fell across the creek and missed everything but now it pushed a wall of brush into the sequoia.
Got most sawed up but the chain came off so I decided to snap a couple pics and then put the chain back on (break time)
That is the almost finished concrete waterfall I made and this one will be there at least 100 years.
And cleared the walls of brush out of the creek there and along side so I can actually see it.
....ok back to work
