LUNAR ECLIPSE

Get ready you early birds and of course I will stay up late to watch and see if I can take a picture.
Could be a blue Moon or a red Moon........of the end of the world (ok it is the same day as the start of Passover)
I'm looking at the Moon right now at 2:25am and you can tell the Earth is close to being between the Moon and the Sun right now in the SW part of the sky.
So if you have a better camera take a picture for me from your part of the planet
On another note I mowed my entire lawn on sunday and burned enough gas to drive a car 50 miles.....INSANE!
But I got it all done so my luck now is it will rain and along with that clouds blocking the Moon so I will just see a dark sky for a few minutes
Ok back to watching Peter Gunn

Re: LUNAR ECLIPSE
Supposed to be cloudy and rainy here starting around midnight. Not likely to be able to view the eclipse.

Sweet? 3-4am? Ha! Last time I saw those hours I was bugged-out on painkillers, due to the back. As a younger man, that's when I'd be crawling home from the bars...
Speaking of the back... next Wednesday is circled on the calendar. By Monday, I'll be back in the office.
Looking like a blowout of both L3 and L4... whatever I do I always go all the way, apparently!
First time I've heard them say its hereditary, though...

Re: LUNAR ECLIPSE
Ah come on now Kurt......just get up early like Cravn or stay up late like me
Weather is still looking good here with a sunny day but the north wind is too cold for me so I stayed in the house all day (hell after mowing my entire lawn it was like the day after playing 3 hours of basketball so it was my day off)
So just hoping for no wind tonight and the clear sky since I won't be able to see it from the house because the tall trees are on the NW side.
Have to go out in the front of the place where I just mowed and sit in a chair.........guess I could just drive the car out and sit in there and stay warm

Re: LUNAR ECLIPSE
Well I was just reminded that here we get a TOTAL eclipse about 300 days every year here.
Also known as fucking clouds
So yeah it is real dark outside right now.
Take a picture Cravn!

Re: LUNAR ECLIPSE
AH.....ok so it was a "Red Moon" since it was a total eclipse here in N America and high in the sky.
Yeah it takes a camera that can take the night pictures with real dim light like during the full part of the eclipse where the Earth almost blocks the Sun from reflecting from the Moon.
I know a guy in Australia that takes good pictures and he said the Moon rises where he is already in eclipse
If I had a clear night my 8mm video camera would have worked and then I would have to plug it into the 82in DLP and then take another picture of that with my pc camera.
Still DARK here right now.

It looks like Mars did a few years ago when it came its closest to the Earth and I shot a long 8mm video of it as it went east to west that night and I got nice video.
(I really need to get all my 8mm video converted to a disc)
