WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO
Well last night I got tired of the HD crashing on the old one I just installed the Win7 OS on so just after 10pm I saw the movie I usually watch on saturday nights "Svengoolie" show was one I already saw this year so just for Cravn I came upstairs and decided to see how fast I am at this so I shut her down unplugged the HD and plugged in the NEW and CLEAN Seagate Barracuda 7500rpm that I got at a sale price and put in my new Win7 disc and by 12:30 am I had Windows installed and my programs and drivers and had her back to work and then of course started doing the Windows update and the first time you do it that takes about 149 files to d/l and install and several reboots and I couldn't sleep until it was finished so by 3:30am it was done.
BUT I couldn't fall asleep so I watched Get Smart,The Honeymooners,Car 54.....and then Phil Silvers Show and then tried to turn off the tv and sleep but I couldn't because I was thinking about how finally after 13 years with an HDTV I was going to have a DishNet guy stop by this morning and he got here at 7:30 on a sunday and in no time he had the new HD Dish installed and the receiver hooked up and programmed!!
AND we get all the channels we had on our old contract in HD for the same old price and didn't have to even pay for the new dish or receiver which includes NO monthly fee for the receiver!!!!
Same damn price which includes all the Seattle channels for FREE.
Wasn't sure if we would even see the difference since the 82in Mitsubishi DLP already had a nice picture so I had to test it on the golf channel and espn and even Fox News and DAMN it does look better since the main bad part about regular old tv is reading the text since it was usually blurry and all the tiny print on things like espn are clear as can be now!!
Of course since I hate adding to my bills I still get the regular old signal on the 67in HDTV in the bedroom but I didn't want to pay for the other receiver just for that.
So my computer #7 runs like NEW and the 82in DLP works and looks GREAT now.
Of course in April I will plug my laptop into the 82in so I can watch the Manny Paquiao fight for free too

Re: WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO
There's a HUGE improvement in HD over std signals into any HDTV. You might be able to get local Seattle over-the-air HDTV channels on the bedroom TV using a set of HD rabbit ears...about $20.

I can't get the Seattle HD's that way because of all the hills in the way and the distance from here
I am in a valley with several more between us and then the water a few times

Sunset on the beach....nice.
I miss it.
Seems everybody's upgrading/adding to their Computer Array
I'm drooling thinking about how I'm finally about to build my New Mid-Tower
I'll post photos once the BC website is back up, which won't be until after my new machine is up and running...I'll have to reinstall Frontpage and go through that whole process of building the site.
It's possible I may have to buy an updated version of Frontpage if there are no updates for Win7 with my older version.

Cravn takes sun RISES, I've been taking sun SETS. Also, why do you need Front Page? You can use Excel to create pretty much any read-only web page. That's what I use for all BC grids. What sort of web page "building" do you need to do????

I think frontpage is depracated now. They replaced it with Expression Web and I think its free now.

Re: WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO
Ah, sunrise, ok......I guess that's one of those times when "you had to be there"
As for Frontpage, the 2003 version is compatible with Win7, but the going price is about $170
I don't think so
And it's been written that Expression Web isn't friendly with web templates, which is what I used to create the original BC website....I spent a lot of time and some cash picking out that specific template, it fit the BC perfectly.
But, if it turns out I can't use it, I'll try to replicate it as close as I can from scratch.
But it won't be a big deal, since all the website is going to be this time is a front home page and maybe a page or two after that...it won't be like it was the first time. We simply don't need all that stuff.....except for Page 5
The important thing is getting the Official BC Logo back up on top of this message board.
As a matter of fact.....you guys tell me of a good place where I can upload the BC Logo so I can paste that link here to get the Logo back up. Maybe I'll just do that and forget the website, since it won't serve any functional purpuse other than look cool
Don't get me wrong.....I like cool, but only if it actually serves some functional purpose.

Re: WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO
I just realized that if I'm able to utilize the virtual XP in Win7, then I'll still be able to use my Frontpage 2000 sofware for the website
