Our Hood Canal floating bridge went to the bottom of the canal that night in the 1979 storm and the next morning a couple of friends and I made the drive out to see it and I was the first one to climb down on the west side of the bridge looking for something to keep and grabbed a couple things and after 35 years I still have this bolt and nut that snapped off and was laying down on the bridge where it fell into the water (the end you can see in the picture)

After the rebuild they had us paying toll again for a few years and finally decided to just add the price to the ferry rides over to Seattle and Edmonds.

You can see that it is quite a long bridge and we are a long way from the other side.

This was a couple weeks after I turned 21

I got married 35 years ago

I was 21 and still had to party for a few years   

35 years ago?
 
I was 13, and engaged to be married.
 
 
But I called it off because she was only 27 and immature.
 
 
I preferred older women, so I began dating a 43 year old.
 
 
Then on my 14th birthday, I realized I still had life to live before marriage   
 
 
And today at 48, I'm still realizing that   
 
 
Although at 48, "older" women are great grandma's  


So I'm heading in the opposite direction -------> 32 years old   

Well I still feel like I am 20-something while I am sitting here watching TV but then.........I have to get up off the couch   

Hey I can't believe it either but I'm here, and she's talking boat, so I'll keep her
