WTF

So here I am 22 mos. past the disappointment of not being able to participate in my Super Bowl volunteer duties due to a herniated disk.

The son and son-in-law set-up a road trip to Cincinnati for this weekend's game as my father's day gift. It was to be 15 going, all pretty much dad's and sons, pretty evenly divided Bengals and Colts fans. Tailgating, game, dinner, drinks. So, what do you suppose happens?

You got it… another bulging disk. I sit here barely able to walk. Excruciating pain. Have an appt. Thursday am for a cortisone shot to the spine, but that won't work fast enough… going to have to bail out. Totally fucking sucks on so many levels.

    

The epidural shot, can work, the 12 I have had over the years, Id say 4 gave me enough relief that I was able to sit straight to take a crap. But as always the epidural shot is a bandaid and not a cure, still wound up on the operating table 3 times.

And when you get the shot and it does work, dont go there and think you are superman, caus when the cortizone wears off, the pain returns.

Ouch! Perhaps some of the "medical weed" might help?

In all seriousness, this has been one of the ailments/conditions that have been identified as responding well to "alternative treatments."

Pain makes me tense. Something leads me to believe alternative methods would help to lessen the tension, thus lessening the pain. That said, been 25-30 yrs since this kid looked to score a dime bag...

Well Vicodin is actually Hydrocodone with either a bit of aspirin or Acetaminophen aka Tylenol added to it made by several companies

I see it is banned in France  

I get 90 per month of the 7.5/500mg

It's 3 Ben Franklins per OZ here for over 15 years now even with these goofy new laws in NW San Fran Seattle

Along with that the ground is white from a half inch of sow and it is close to 20 degrees here and I am supposed to go to town in the morning to go buy my suit for saturday........ 3.5 Olympic Peninsula, Washington

about 6 mos after my operation and I am just now really starting to feel close to 100% now. It is nothing to play around with bro.... Make yourself an appointment with Dr. Shapiro at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine at IU Health and get it taken care of ASAP. Thats the guy that did my surgery, he is the nuerosurgeon chief of staff at both Methodist and Eskanazi.

If it wasn't for that guy I probably wouldn't be walking right today.

My surgery (back in 1995?) was by Rick Sasso, Indianapolis Neurology. He's moved on and started Indiana Spine Group. John Arbuckle gave me the shot in Feb. 2012 and the second one Thursday. The immediate relief was well worth the 2 minutes of hell while on the receiving end. Had to lay flat on my stomach - supposedly still - during the procedure. The absolute worst 2 min or so of my life.

Nope. That was ruled out. No Bengals game for me, unfortunately.
