You're missing the point
What just happened was important.
It galvanizes our path.

Of course it wasn't "negotiable"
We knew that from the get-go
It's all a part of the overall puzzle

"A fundamental flaw - and probably the biggest flaw - was that they were negotiating for something that wasn't really negotiable," said Patrick Griffin, who served as President Bill Clinton's legislative affairs director during the 1995 government shutdown.

Re: You're missing the point
Seabird can't help.
We're diving into debt oblivion each year to support a doomed nanny state faster than mighty_colts digs into a plate of lobster tail and shrimp.
Numbers don't lie.
People lie, not numbers.
The majority wants the Lie, not the Numbers
As I've said numerous times before.....they've already lost.
We, on the other hand, have our eye on the end game

Re: You're missing the point
Debt increased a record (for one day) $328 billion yesterday after the debt ceiling bill signing. Oh, and this time they did not specify a cap in the dollar amount that it can go up. They merely set an expiration date. So, in effect, the crazies are free to spend whatever they want between now and February 7, 2014. In just slightly over one year, the debt has increased $1 trillion. Way to go, libs.

Re: You're missing the point
Yeah, the nanny state is already dead, everybody knows it.
Their attitude now is.....just keep it going as long as you can.
We conservatives/liberatians tried to prevent the national suicide taking place, but there are too many dependants to overcome now.
So we'll have to go through a very nasty period of.....recalibration (which I described earlier this year) to restore logical order to this nation....fiscal sanity, a return of Constitutional rights, limited government/independence.
The nanny people will simply either not be here anymore, or they will learn to take care of themselves, and will have NO ability to force others to take care of them.
"Welfare" and the like will be handled at the private sector level.....Church, local grass-roots organizations, ect....NOT THE GOVERNMENT.

Me thinks you're missing that "deadly riots in the inner cities" phase.

Naw, Blue....that's part of it.
Like I said......it's gonna get nasty.
But after years of build-up......we're approaching the time of spring cleaning.

Re: You're missing the point
The only way people will be able to take care of themselves and NOT rely on the government dole is to have ample opportunity...that means JOBS.
Not part-time Obama jobs that is now the reality.
If people in this country want opportunity and independence....they gotta vote for it.
But they haven't been doing that, and as a result, they don't have it.
How many times did Romney talk about quality job creation?
NOW maybe people will listen.
Obama and those who think like him will only create misery and dependence for you. Who can deny it now?
Wake up.

Re: You're missing the point
I'll just wait another dozen years or so, then I'll run for office.
Then I'll totally discriminate against Cravn's family seed by executive order
