MNF Dinner time...... Empty MNF Dinner time......

Getting ready to watch the great Peyton Manning play and hope he continues like the first 2 games.

Went outside and got some carrots and potato's from my small garden and a few grown in that 10ft satellite dish I made into a flower garden over 10 years ago.

And checked my fig tree to see how good it is doing since they don't like growing here in the NW but it has several figs getting closer to harvest time so we will see how that works.

Had the tree for many years and every year it looks like it croaked until the next spring.

Never actually eaten them but they say they are good for you.

Might have to just dig it up and plant it in a large pot so I can bring it inside during the winter and actually make it more like a tree instead of a lil bush.

Magic, why are you getting figs this late in the year? right after halloween cut the fig branches back, way back. maybe 2 foot off the ground, next years crop will be double what you got.

Give a stick to your buddys tell them to plant it in the ground, it will root and grow.

(fucking laptop just crashed after I typed a page out so this is the short version)

That fig tree only gets 2 feet tall each season and that is because it must be a type that belongs down south and all my friends live up on the mountains so it is even colder there unless they used the greenhouse.

So mine will be too cold at night real soon and lose it's leaves and I will have to cover it with soil to keep it from freezing but it sprouts again late every spring.

I still have to plant my 2 new palm trees before it gets too cold here at night.

Can't go out by the pond since they would either block the view from the house of if they are too close to the old alders they would get hit by falling branches all the time.........so I have to pick a spot that gets the most sun even in the winter.

Palm Trees in the Pacific northwest, Ive seen it all now, I have that exact palm tree 40 ft tall..Lucky for you, you dont get the palmetto bugs that go with them as we do, nastyass roach looking things about 2 1/2 inches long. Chased one on the porch this evening, and the SOB committed suicide, jumped right into the pool.

Mine just gets some tiny critters that like to slowly screw up the leaves so I spray it every year.

Yeah my 10ft palm tree was planted here as a baby over 10 years ago and they are sold at local places every spring.

The reason I planted the first one was I saw one in town that has been there over 30 years.

Way back in the 1960's people here planted things like palm trees and giant sequoia's which is also why I planted the 40 sequoia's here and those things really grow fast and BIG

My other new palm tree (Mexican palm) is one that grows mostly in Cali and Florida and the other SW States is supposed to grow here once they get started and taller and faster than the Windmill palm like you have.

So I hope I have a fairly warm winter so it can take off next spring.
