Oh yeah, Lake Powell, been there a number of times...it's a great place for camping, boating. If you have a nice rig with sonar, you can more easily find where the fishies are.

Buy you're right....Lake Powell is huge, but the water levels are constantly lowering since they drain the lake to meet water demands.

If I could talk the ol' lady into getting in the car we would start on that trip at the end of august and drive around until next spring  

But then I would have to set up all my guns pointed at every angle to shoot the crooks that would try to break in as soon as they figured out we weren't home

I'm thinking that for a few bucks you can arrange some security for your place. You really need to get out there and see some things, while you're still young and mobile.

Actually, I've been to Lake Powell once, it was a blast. I was thinking a trip to Lee's Ferry, which is on the Colorado River.

Google Lee's Ferry, you DEFINATELY want to go there, too  

A very beautiful place, floating down the River in those canyons, fishing for Rainbow Trout.

LOL, 29.00 you can buy a 9mm, I can get you hollow points, so for under 50, us Dems can protect ourselves were as Repubs need THOUSANDS to do the same job
