Surgery for that fucking bulging disk in my neck this week.

My Son goes in the 16th, for his surgery.

I had disk surgery (lower back, though) in 1995-6 or so... best thing that ever happened to me. Not all spinal surgeries are "the end of the road..."

Hey, there was a former QB of a local sports franchise that went through some neck/disk surgery here a couple years back... That seemed to work out ok...

Yep CK, I am having the same surgery Manning had, except my disk is pressing on my spinal cord, so maybe mine is more like Irvin's? Tommorow is the big day. Off work for at least a month.

Surgeries didnt work for me, hence the reason I had to have 3 of them..Now if I chose a profession that had me as a desk jockey, then maybe they would have worked.

And 2shock the only reason they worked on Manning was because of the rehab, and if you think your insurance company will pay for rehab that Manning received, well then I have some land for you to buy

I lived, a little sore and as the swelling goes down I will get more and more of the feeling and range of motion back.


Good pain pills though.... I actually had a nightmare that Brad Stephens left Butler to coach in Boston of all places..

Sounds good.......just don't take too many pills and start dreaming about the Broncos vs Ravens last season

Well I sure do appreciate that Mighty. I can use all I can get right now.

Still pretty weak, but starting to walk better again already.


Talking with the neurosurgeon I've had this ever since the car accident back in Sept of 01. Scary thing is it was bad enough that 1 wrong fall, 1 rear end car accident and I would have been paralyzed from the neck down.

And I worked heavy construction like that for years afterwards.


I am a blessed and lucky man.
