Boehner
Boehner said today:
I think I'm gonna puke.
Hope Obama is having fun on his red surfboard, which WE paid for (his "vacation" to Hawaii cost idiot tax payers 7 million bucks).
And who footed the bill for his 7 million dollar "vacation"?
Everybody who voted for him. They all got hit with a 2% tax hike
At least those who actually work
Oh, they (Obama voters) thought it would be just the financially successful who would be taxed more.........but no.......they themselves (Obama voters) are gonna foot the bill that they (Obama voters) wanted somebody else to foot
And that is just the first bullet to hit the bone in the months and few years to come. Just wait until the Obamacare tax hits.......there are millions of honest hardworking people who will now be taxed between $700 and $1000 per year.
All of those billions of $$$ are no longer in the economy.
Jobs will be lost, and new jobs will NOT be created that otherwise would have been created if the 51% of voters in this screwed up country were not so uninformed, dumbed down and naive....the very definition of "gullible".
Another 10,000 people have been added to the umemployment roster last month. Many more tens of thousands will follow.
Tens of thousands. Hundreds of thousands.
I wonder how many of them voted democrat
But all of these job losses were "expected" by the government as a result of their radical increase in taxes, regulations and intrusion into the private sector.
But alas.......through it all.......Washington D.C. will be "humbled to serve"
It's good to be humbled on a red surfboard on the shores of Hawaii, paid for by idiot tax payers, who are total strangers.
Hey, I myself would also be humbled while riding a surfboard in Hawaii on a trip that total strangers paid 7 million dollars for......heck yeah, sign me up for THAT gig.
That is......if only I can convince enough dumbed-down strangers to give me 7 million dollars
Hmmmmm.....maybe they'll give me 7 million dollars if I promise to give THEM some free stuff and other spiffy entitlements
Hey.......it might work!!!!
"If you have come here humbled by the opportunity to serve; if you have come here to be the determined voice of the people; if you have come here to carry the standard of leadership demanded not just by our constituents but by the times, then you have come to the right place," he said.
I think I'm gonna puke.

Re: Boehner
I pretty much hate all things Washington DC, am no fan of Obama, and you know far more about the other stuff.
But that said, I have absolutely no problem with the leader of the free world taking some vacation time with his family. He deals with more BS on a daily basis than we do in a year. The stress level - while ON vacation - is fifty times what we deal-with at any time.

Re: Boehner
Not the point.
A true leader shoulders the load, leads by example.
Otherwise......get out.
And after what I saw happen this past Nov. 6, this counrty doesn't deserve leadership. It deserves exactly what it has, what it has already received, and what it's gonna get.
I'm not just talking about Obama. I'm talking about the direction this entire society is headed.
Obama is just one guy, but there are hundreds of millions of people in this country.
As it was once Said, "A tree is known by it's fruit".

Re: Boehner
Anyway......the longer it takes folks in this country to WAKE UP and realize the destructive consequences of big goverenment, the longer the pain will drag on and the worse that pain will be.
I don't want to go around insulting everybody who "doesn't get it", but they have no choice but to "get it" if they want a decent standard of living and a positive future for their kids.
We MUST return to a government that is limited.
We MUST restore a business friendly environment in this country. This will create plenty of jobs for everybody, across the spectrum, both skilled and unskilled.
But that won't happen until people WAKE UP and realize we MUST get away from big government.
We must also get away from liberalism having so much influence in society and culture. It's killing us. We must return to more conservative roots, being more spiritually aware.
If we will all DO that, then we will definately rebuild this country, no sweat.

But Cravn.....if "free cell phones" are only for the unemployed, why would I want or need a "free cell phone" if I actually had a job?
Ya see?
If we have plenty of JOBS....then there's no need for "free cell phones".
Big Government kills JOBS.
Limited Government equals LOTS of JOBS and NO need for Free Cell Phones.

Re: Boehner
Yeah, no doubt about that.
Outsourcing our manufacturing jobs has hurt us bad.
The whole idea behind that is manufacturing jobs pollute the environment, so let's export those "dirty" jobs overseas, and make the US economy "service oriented"....the kinds of "clean" jobs that don't actually created anything, but "service others". But those jobs don't pollute the environment.
But the PROBLEM with that is.....you can't export "services". But you CAN export manufactured goods.
We once were a manufaturing country that exported. This made us a powerful nation. But we gave that to China, where, like you said, the labor is CHEAP.
So you made a good point. Outsourcing is part of the problem.
So we need to recreate the conditions that bring our manufacturing jobs back.
However, the point I'm making is just as important.....big government socialist Nanny State creates debt we can't pay back. This destroys the future of kids.
So the point you made and the point I made go hand-in-hand.
Which brings us back to the original point I made......we must return to our roots. We must return to non-nanny state, limited government......AND, as you pointed out, we need to bring our manufacturing jobs back.
So the question is.......how do we do that??
The ANSWER is simple.
What did Romney talk about over and over again during the campain?
WE MUST DEVELOP OUR NATURAL RESOURCES.
Coal.
Natural Gas.
Oil.
This will allow us to once again reign as Export King of natural resources.......and that will create MILLIONS of good paying jobs. This will also lower the cost of fuel to the point where all those manufacturers will come BACK to the USA, which means millions of MORE jobs for us.
So......that, plus returning to Limited Government will get us back on track and a bright future.
This is what this past election was all about, but that message was NOT presented as powerfullly as it needed to be.
Romney did his best, but 51% of voters in this country didn't understand what he was actually saying.
They better learn.......fast.
Obama and the democats did a good job of "muddling the waters" and making sure Romney's message was not clear. Obama used emotion, such as Class Warfare, to prevent people from seeing clearly.
Divide and Conquer.
But as I said right after the election.......the democrat strategy only gave them temporary power and control. Utimately.......they have already failed.

You can't go back to those days, Cravn. It's a world-wide economy these days and the good old U.S. needs to be able to compete or go diwn. Unions played a part in driving jobs out. You'll never admit that but at least I don't call you a cocksucker.

Re: Boehner
Cravn didn't read the part when I said the problem with unemployment was both outsourcing AND socialist leftist policies....and yes, unions are a part of the socialist left.
Under conservative republican leadership, we would have created many jobs and lowered taxes, and cut spending, thus building for a better future.
But under left wing socialist rule, we are LOSING many jobs, raising taxes and increasing spending, thus destroying the future.
So Cravn......in the grand scheme of things......your pension doesn't mean squat!!
You're looking at things from a very narrow perspective.....just yourself.
I'm looking at things from a wide perspective......the entire country and everybody in it.

Re: Boehner
By the way, a couple of days ago, it was.....made known to me that I need to knock off the insults when talking politics.
The functional Word being, "Disrespect".
It took me a couple of days to figure out what that referred to, and it refers to my insults in the first post of this thread.
So....instead of giving insults to make a point, I should have simply said that people who voted for Obama are going to continue to find out why they shouldn't have.
And as for the insults, I own up to that, my bad.

I've been fairly successful in staying away from this... but...
If we can't export "services," then why is it that everytime I call for any customer support of any type, I get someone on the other end of the line that I can't understand every third word they say? Wer've exported all the manufacturing jobs, we've moved the customer support services overseas, and the only thing we have left are WalMart greeter positions, fast food jobs, or aspire to become a highly valued government worker...
I don't care who's fault it is, I'll put my support behind the guy or party that will actually do something to create sustainable jobs that actually have a future.
(yes, I know I took liberty with the term export...)

Re: Boehner
Yeah, that's one way to look at it.........when I said services can't be exported, I was defining services as something non-tangible, unlike a manufactured good, and not the job itself as you said.
But I guess it's the same thing, eh?
Yep......we went from exporting goods to exporting the jobs that manufactured those goods. Romney's main message was to recreate the business-friendly conditions (lower taxes, reduce regulations) that brings our jobs back by aggressively developing our natural resources, especially coal, which would have (if done properly) created many middle class jobs.
But too many voters had no clue. They bought into a totally failed ideology which has NEVER been successful in the history of this world....big government, high taxes, nanny-state, class warfare.
They voted for THAT instead of a mindset that has been a proven winner throughout history.......Free Market Capitalism: low taxes, limited government, low unemployment, individual prosperity.
Anyway, on a side note, in my previous post I implied that the reason for the results of the fiscal cliff fight (everybody has a smaller take-home paycheck) was because Obama was reelected. That is only my opinion and nothing more than that. Nobody should "read anything" into this statement:
