Saw that. Didn't bother to check what star/planet it was, but commented to the bride how cool it looked.

Re: Look to the east
You guys
Anyway..........they do the same thing every year and the only difference is the weather where you are at the time.
Like where I live.......always a good chance the sky will be thick rain clouds that block every star and even the Moon.
Once in a while I get lucky and the sky is clear and the Moon is not out there making it hard to see the stars and planets.
But Venus and Jupiter can look like the brightest star up there on a good night
I was just talking about stuff like this with a few of my fellow Einstein Project guys and one lives in Australia so he took nice photo's of the solar eclipse.
And the other guy lives in Germany and has a camera and scope set up at his place too.
Re: Look to the east
So thats Venus hovering with the moon?
Jupiter is huge this morning, shes just coming up over the Atlantic now..

Venus is 30 minutes before sunrise, looking southeast all November which is the one you see early in the Cravn mornings
Jupiter is the first bright planet to rise during November all month looking east local time is 8 P.M right now
December 2nd is the brightest night for Jupiter
Mars is 30 minutes after sunset, looking southwest
And you might see Mercury the next few nights 30 minutes before sunrise, looking southeast
Saturn has been following Venus around the last few days 30 minutes before sunrise, looking southeast
You probably have a better sky than I have right now if you are away from lights at night but I guess you have humans all around you with streetlights and the rest.
I have pouring rain and one of these days I expect to see our county road completely washed out since the county was too stupid to fix the problem caused by that jackass that used to live across the road until I had him run outta town via Federal Court.........the creek is all the way up to the road all year now instead of once in a while during winter and has been running across the road for weeks now and it will get worse the more rain......and then snow..
The property below me and on the other side of the road is now a wetland for the ducks and about 50 old alder trees were flooded and dies and have been falling over one by one.
Tempted to walk down there since the sun just came out for a few minutes to see if any trout are crossing the road.
I noticed a bald eagle diving all over the flooded spots yesterday.
The Ravens may have went south farther because they aren't trying to eat apples here again today.
Re: Look to the east
I tell ya, I seen more wild life in Fl than Ive ever seen in Pa living in the woods. The deer arent as big down here, but they are here..I drive 30 min into Daytona dasily and travel a country road, Ive seen the bald eagles, Ive seen wild hogs run across the road, and even yesterday a turkey darted in front of me..Havent seen an alive armadillo yet, seen 100's of road kills of them though.
I'll keep your notes handy..Iam in the country part of Deltona, I assume at one point this was farm land since Im so close to beef farms on our way to the beach or work.

Re: Look to the east
Ah yes, Jupiter is very big & bright about 5am here in Tucson, about a forearm's length up from the eastern horizon.
Tons of coyotes, bobcats and javelinas here in my neck of the desert.....not to mention tons of owls, buzzards, hawks, a few Eagles, and the occasional mountain lion.
Also, lots of ants, smaller birds, snakes, scorpions, and LOTS of human beings

Re: Look to the east
Yeah one thing that keeps us out of moving south is all those snakes with the poison teeth
And scorpions of course.
I like north AZ myself......but would have to have 50+ acres

Re: Look to the east
Nice palm tree in front of your house.....makes mine look tiny.
How do you and the neighbors decide how far over to mow the lawns?
Are all those lakes fresh water or salty??
Do you have any community rights to get to lake louise?
Man you are surrounded by lakes like it is Minnesota
The fricken hundreds of ravens are out eating apples here every time I look out by the pond........they all fly when they see me come up to the window
Re: Look to the east
Its a huge palm tree id say 50 ft.
in front of my house is the access to lake louise. I have fished her 3 times so far. Caught and released a dozen bass.
The back is fenced in. The front is open so we use the old eyeball test on the property line.
All the lakes are freshwater lakes. Real close to me is the St Johns river. The only river in America that runs from the ocean inland.

Re: Look to the east
No rivers here in the desert.....but lots of bone-dry washes that are bone-dry 99% of the time.
That means the bone-dry washes are the 99%.
And the water that seldomly runs in the washes is the 1%.
So the question is......which would you rather be......the 99% that's dry as a bone, or the flowing 1%

Re: Look to the east
Well, in any event, it doesn't matter which one I'd rather be.
I'm one of the grains of sand in the bone-dry wash

Re: Look to the east
We have plenty of water and rain to send you already Mighty_G
I drove to town today and wanted to see how our county road is getting and today down where my creek used to go under the county road it is still running over the top about 100 yards wide and since this is a gravel county road it is washing away more and more and soon it will be trucks only.....but I know one of the hippy neighbors will be the first to drive a hippymobile on the side where the water is the deepest and the most gravel is gone and they will end up over the bank where I guess the water could be 5ft to 8ft deep
I don't have to drive back out the rest of the year myself but a &$@@# women that lives with me will probably drive through the creek until she gets on the local news
I drove her car just to put a new set of tires on and minutes after I was home she was back to acting like a ^%$#ing ^%$#@
Re: Look to the east
That lake louise is probably at 50% capacity right now. When Rico and i are walking fishing we see plenty of boat docks that are 50 yards from any water. A good tropical storm is what we need to fill the lakes up.
