3700 nautical miles
I'm back home again in Indiana! WTF is up with this weather???
Just a quick check-in. Nothing like watching my beloved Colts win big while floating deep in the southern Carib. (The ship had a big screen out on the pool deck 15' X 20' or so...) We were sailing from Limon, Costa Rica toward Grand Cayman Thursday evening.
Our group was probably 35 strong out there for the game. The other 1800 passengers KNEW the COLTS were in da house! The lovely bride got a pic of me with the screen in the background. I'll try to get it on here somehow. Later!

Re: 3700 nautical miles
I wondered if you made it home Kurt
I almost emailed to see if the exploding house was near you but after I checked it out they said way down on the south side of town and I know that is the opposite side from you.
It made the local news here.
I watched the Colts on both my tv's since I watched the 2nd half from bed.....so if I add the 67in and the 82in it was almost like sailing in the Carib.........little more quiet on my ship of course

Take some gloves. At that price, you'll surely have to row at least part of the way.

For our 10 day cruise, just a tick under $2000. Keep in mind that incl. shore excursion charges for each at 4 ports, a couple massages (no happy endings), BINGO 4-5 times, and adult beverages - mostly mine, as the lovely bride really doesn't drink except for a frozen margarita or two a day. I, on the other hand, was enjoying a healthy dose of double Absolute Citron on the rocks on a regular basis. Threw in a couple Grey Goose Orange for good measure. (Not that I wanted to become a lush, I just felt obligated...)

Yup, the updated avatar is our ship in the locks at the canal...
Pic is kinda big, but you can actually see it that way.

Here's one a tad smaller:
I was looking to see if perhaps the Kurt-pontoon boat was in that photo somewhere.

Re: 3700 nautical miles
I think if I was going to cruise I would want to go on a Tall Ship......
Something about sailing sounds pretty good..

I'd do the tall ship for a couple days. Much longer than that and it isn't a vacation anymore, I have to believe.

Sun, Sand, Warmth, and a drink in hand with no bottom..Thats a vacation...I had to forego my time share for next week, to Ft Myers, just too much going on right now.
