Bookie Challenge Corporate Announcement!!!
Bookie Challenge Corporate Announcement!!!
FINDS BINDERS FULL OF PLAYERS (AND WOMEN)
The Bookie Challenge firm has, for the last 7 weeks, been receiving resumes from applicants for important positions in the corporation. All applicants have been through the testing and vetting process and, sad to say (but because we're really desperate), 19 have been accepted for roles of some sort. There are 18 final paid positions and one intern in the firm this year. We've separated them into departments as named and detailed below.
The breakup was done with a great deal of thought given to try to strike a balance across all departments. Since we only have 18 chip players this year, the Beldar divison has been dropped and we end up with four divisions. Then, in accordance with historic protocol, the following players have been placed in separate groups:
Arkman - Ark
BlueShoes - Lacey
Magic - Tesla Division
Mighty Colts - Fresh
Without further ado, here are the Bookie Challenge divisions for the balance of the season:
Division | Participant | Pt. Total | Average |
Ark | 39 | 7.8 | |
Arkman | 12 | ||
Swanshaft | 9 | ||
kobesgame | 8 | ||
beerme | 7 | ||
ColtsKurt | 3 | ||
Lacey | 32 | 8.0 | |
CravnRavn | 12 | ||
Agent99* | 10 | ||
Seabird | 9 | ||
Lizzard | 7 | ||
BlueShoes | 4 | ||
Tesla | 39 | 7.8 | |
Magic | 10 | ||
=SA= | 9 | ||
IndyColt | 8 | ||
PrimeTime | 8 | ||
BigDrew | 4 | ||
Fresh | 30 | 7.5 | |
Wood20Ks | 10 | ||
R&R Hawks | 9 | ||
Mighty_Colts | 7 | ||
Matt | 4 |
* Player is a non-chip participant and, while he may win the division and bragging rights, he cannot achieve any bonus points at the end of the regular season and he's ineligible for any final chip payout. Therefore his totals are not included in the total points or in the group average.
At the end of the year, the winner of each division will receive two bonus points going into the playoffs. Two wild-cards (next highest point totals after division winners and taking into account best bet records, etc.) will receive one bonus point going into the playoffs.

I don't know man.......as they say.....some peoples kids
Figured he would be hooked and he has a new laptop (which I added some Ram to for him)
He's at the casino all the time and watches games all the time but he just couldn't get on and make his picks and usually uses the damn cell phone when he checks stuff.
He just turned 30 on friday so maybe someday he will stop thinking he is a kid who has to party every day.

Re: Bookie Challenge Corporate Announcement!!!
The cheap ones like that run better if you can just add 4GB of Ram to it.
Mine came with 4GB and I added another 4GB
So even the more expensive ones work better when you do that and it usually doesn't cost much.

Re: Bookie Challenge Corporate Announcement!!!
cravnravn wrote:So how do I add 2gig more ram?? Or should I UPS it to you
Real easy to do Cravn
You order one from Tiger Direct and when you get it flip your laptop over and you will see a panel with a couple screws in it (not the one where the battery goes) and you remove the cover and you will see a spot where your new Ram will plug right in.
After you do it once you will be a pro
The main thing is put it in the groove straight and they tend to be sort of hard to push in but once it plugs in you will know it.
Then put the cover back in and boot it back up and you can check the "system" file and it will say if you did it or not.
The best way to do it is before you remove the cover make sure it is unplugged and pop the battery out too.
The way you check that file is start/control panel/system and security/system and there you will see the processor you have and the amount of Ram you now have.
Of course I would do it for you for free
I just found a youtube video showing how to do it so you will have no problem........just be careful and don't break anything.

Here is a good deal on a 4GB ram that should be the one for your laptop

cravnravn wrote:Magic, that link for Tiger, that will fit my 10" ACER?? for that price I will order it as soon as you say it'll fit.
Is this the one you have?

Or give me your Acer model number.
BUT I am pretty sure that is what you have and since it looks like it only has one slot for Ram you would have to buy a 4GB and when you get it you have to remove your 2GB and just replace it with the 4GB.......put the 2GB in a stash in case you buy another laptop that allows more than one Ram
So having twice the Ram will help that cheap-o machine work a little better.
My laptop has 8GB using two 4GB Ram and I wouldn't mind having 12GB ram
All my desktops have 12GB ram
2GB just isn't enough to work without being slow or pages freezing as it tries to figure out what you want it to do.
It is possible to get ONE 8GB ram for yours but I think with the processor you have it wouldn't help.
The main thing is it must be DDR3 ram ........if it was DDR2 or older then you should have got it for free

Re: Bookie Challenge Corporate Announcement!!!
Ok then this is the 4GB for you
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=708904&CatId=4534
Just remove the one that is in it and plug in the new one and it will run as good as it ever will.
They always ship fast too.
