Its a lot of money, but I've got to do it. I could never go again for anything less. Once in a lifetime deal for me. To purchase the tix on the street/open market would be over a grand, easy.

I had the chance 2 and 3 years ago. They were $500 each then. Since the Colts didn't go, the money applied to the season ticket renewal each year. Better seating or inflation?

When the Colts win Sunday, I pick up the tix Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Your momento's value will be directly related to the donation. I prefer paypal. lol

As the opportunity presents itself... I'm there! Wife's already on board!

As you may recall, a year ago the lovely bride's school had a HS game broadcast on ESPN in HD. Many (some) of you saw me! Well, this year its another game telecast from the school again. Michael Jordan's kid's team from Chicago is coming in on Feb. 1. (Watch for me again!)
She'll be ready for a few days in the sun in Miami after dealing with all that again... will 23 be there? (I'm not supposed to say.... but....)

Last year I sat with Corey Simon, David Thornton, and Tarek Glenn.
Probably be Michael, Magic, and Larry this year! (I'd rather sit with the Colts!) Just shitting...

We could leave Friday and return Monday...

If it happens... pictures will def. be posted!

Hmmmmmmm.......hey Kurt, I may want something from 41 if the Colts go.

I'll tell you what.....if they go, and if I send you some bucks, maybe you can pick something up and then mail it to me? Something really cool and unique....in the $50 to $100 range. No doubt there are endless choices to make in the shops, eh? I would have to leave it to you to pick out something really cool, maybe pick up several cool items with a $100 budget, which would also include shipping costs.

Whaddya think?

I was at the Experience for SB 30 back in 95 in Phoenix.....Harbaugh was there signing stuff, but he took off before I had a chance to talk to him. But I got him on video, though. I picked up some cool Colts para-fra-neal-yah at the shops Smile

Anyway, there was an endless array of SB items for sale at the Experience.....so I don't think you would have any trouble finding some cool Colts stuff for me. You would keep $20 of that cash for yourself, so that would be my SB ticket contribution Two eyes and teeth

Ha Ha!!!
First you'd have to get thru the lovely bride... and she'll kick your ass. queen

Then you'd have to take down my son... not as bad as his mom, but bigger than me. rambo

But, I'm thinking... if you went to the game... who'd run the board? I'm counting on recouping some expenses from that board! YOU need to be there, Barry! If not for THAT, I'd probably hook you up! angel

I remember we were talking about the SB tix last year just before that Vanderjagt "wide right" and I was looking around the web for package prices and all the ones I found were between $10,000 and $12,000 for a pair of tix and hotel, airfare, and some extra goodies at the stadium like seeing the players and sitting in the executive area with all that kind of thing.

I would have loved doing that if it was the Colts playing but still that is the price you want to pay when you have more money than you need.

Which would have to mean I had over $100,000 just in my secret stash.......and for some reason my stash is not quite that much right now needhelp

DONE DEAL! I'm THERE!

Just booked the trip on Expedia. Gotta drive to Cincy for the flight...
staying in Palm Beach...
got a rental car...
come home Tuesday (so I can party harder after the big win!)
all for about $3100 LESS than the official Colts-sponsored (low end) trip!
(that's less than half their cost!)

Still accepting donations!

Mighty... get with me. Anyone else wanting stuff too.

Cravn... I'm sure YOU'RE on that list!

No doubt it will be a Colts pin! hellyes

I'm thinking the ticket stubs will be a hot commodity, but I'll see what I can do! My two are going in a 2006 season commemerative picture I'm putting together will all my game tickets, play-off tickets, and SB tickets!

2shock, I was on the drive w/ JMV today (am 1260) talking about how disappointing it was when I picked up the tickets. chicken_dance

It was like a morgue! Very quiet... no rah rah at all! No SB info on hand at all. Three small tables selling Colts junk, people in a single file line, sign a paper - get an envelope with two tix... that's it! Its like the Colts org was pissed that they had to sell us the tix at that price. There was a small table with a gal and a laptop selling the packages sponsored by the Colts... but no advertising or anything at all. wtf

Marketing opportunity gone astray, from my view. A chance to get the fans fired up! No Colts signs, no tv's showing highlights, nothing. Very low key.

I guess they just figured that all you wealthy folks that could afford tix, would want a suave and debonair ticket pick-up CK bounce

I'm sure they will have some upcoming events that will be off the hook... Too bad the NFL nixed showing the game at the dome...Remember when the Pacers did that at Conseco for the finals? A sell out crowd to watch the game on the BIG, big screens....

Even though I think that showing the game at the IMAX would be much, much cooler...!!!

The only thing that I ask is that you take some good pictures of the festivities and post them since you are our SB Liason from the BC Kurt............

Imagine CK picks up 2 SB tix for a mere $1200 and he complains they haven't done enough for him... boohoo I looked at Tix on Ebay and about started to cry since I can't go...(gotta bust your balls over that one CK!!)

Hey you should lobby for Magic and Mighty to get you a press pass for player access, they can say that you are our Colts beat writer for the BC Kurt!!!!

Sorry I took so long.

And I will be trying to snap some pics of you when you get on tv with your Colts jersey on sitting with all the big shots (say hi to Magic for me sunny )

Heck I always thought I would be at the SB if my COLTS would be there playing (and winning) ...........everyone else is #2 Colts fan after me......THAT is a fact.

"Imagine CK picks up 2 SB tix for a mere $1200 and he complains they haven't done enough for him..."

lets see... 23 years of 4 season tickets at avg. of say... $50 bucks a pop... playoff tickets for some of those years ($833 this year)... untold numbers of beverages and munchies... tee shirts, hats, sweatshirts, lamps, posters... I'd say I've paid my dues.

Its not about complaining... its about a missed opportunity for the Colts to show a little love back to those that are making/have made rather hefty contributions to their financial well being! An opportunity to get those going fired up! What's wrong with a little excitement? A little rah-rah?

I'm in sales... I understand marketing and all that. But I also understand when its all about the money. And let there be no mistake... THATS why the ticket "pass-out" was run the way it was. It would cost the Colts org. money to do that.

I'm incredibly lucky to be on that short list of those to get tix at that price. But lets be honest... we've paid to be on that list!

Miami here I come!

Ok, Kurt.....you mentioned you have a PayPal account, right? I have one and can use that to zip the funds to you. So why don't you use the BC email and send me your PayPal details, and in a few days my PayPal account will be funded and I'll transfer it to you.

But please wait until AFTER the game before you buy anything on my behalf!! whoa

If the Colts LOSE the freaking game.....the value of any memor-ah-beel-yah will go waaaaay down!!

So if they lose, I don't want anything.....except for maybe Manning's autographed helmet (that he wore during the game). Can you get that for a hundred bucks??? clap
