Picked up my volunteer gear Tuesday. We all got a Colts Blue dry-fit long sleeved shirt with the SBXLVI emblem, a coat - best described as much like North Face w/ SBXLVI emblem, stocking cap w/ emblem, the famous hand knit scarf (mine's kinda blah...) and 2 free tix to the NFL Experience. (valued at $25 each)

I "work" a hospitality desk at a hotel Thurs and Fri am up near my home, then Sat eve before the SB I'm at the IN Convention Center downtown in the heart of things... main entrance. The zip line, the main stage for the concerts, and "entrance to the "SB Village" is right outside the door. Work there 6:30-11 pm. Safe to say a couple adult beverages will be consumed immediately after my shift ends! That will be absolutely nuts down there that evening! Then Monday am I'm back at a hotel up on the Nside to assist all the East-coasters as they get the hell outta my town!

I'll try and send along some photos from the "epicenter of awesome" (as they're calling it) that evening. I'll probably text/email photos to someone to post to the site for everyone's viewing pleasure.

This should be a GREAT time.... assuming the weather holds out.

I cannot imagine that town filled with New Yorkers and Bostoners. The attitude factor will be over the top, for sure. Enjoy the entertainment and here's hoping they don't destroy your beautiful city.

Hey Kurt, be sure to post some of the photos you take, eh?

I had a good time at the Experience when the SB was in Phoenix, SB XXX I think it was.....Dallas/Pitt.

And of course, because there was no instant reply back then, Pitt "won" the AFC title game when the refs didn't see Kordell Stewart step out of the endzone before making that catch to "win" the game and send Pitt to Phoenix.

But Harbaugh damn near pulled it out anyway...what a game that was. If Faulk had been healthy and on the field, we would have won that game by 10 points.

My dinner date with him fell through... lol

I'm not sure if he's going to do the autograph signing table or not... but if I had it, and I saw him, you know me... I'm not too shy to ask. One thing is for sure, I'll not stand in line for hours to get it... sorry.

Pins, now that I can - and will - do!

Let me know your requests, folks! I'm here to please, to a point. wink

Oh, and when I say "as long as the weather holds out" I'm meaning NO RAIN. Bring the snow! We can deal with that and it would really make it a lot like the Olympic Village feel they're trying to create.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... cheerstoyou
