Opossum??

Ever seen one in your part of the country?

I have lived here since 1971 and this was the first time I have ever seen one

After 1am I shine the flashlight over by the apple tree and there he/she is!!

A couple years ago I saw a Lynx out there for the first time so I expect the next wild critter to be a BEAR

Tonight was one of the rare times when I didn't have the gun in my hand but the Opossum acted like I wasn't even there.

I have hundreds of apples out there and I already picked all we can store so wild critters are allowed.

I was hoping to see deer not opossums though

You're joking right, come on Magic opossum are like deer here..


You know, Ive had our dog for 4 1/2 years now, and have never scooped dog shit out of the yard, I know why, I get up during the middle of the night, and occasionally when I go out back to smoke, Ill trip the flood lights, those oversized rats are eating what Rico is leaving in the yard

Nasty, ugly, slow, and stupid, that's the way to describe opossum...

See dead ones (along with raccoons) on the street daily, Magic.

The worst scavengers I'm aware of...

The circle of the wild, just leave it out there for the turkey buzzards, or do you not have those..

Yeah I just tossed him over the fence so some other critter will maybe eat it for dinner

We have turkey buzzards here in groups and the coyotes are out there every night so if it tastes good one of them will eat it.

But it looked like more fur than meat on that critter.

I haven't shot a otter by the pond in years now but the turkey buzzard did have fun when I tossed those fat critter over the fence

Ok......off to town......got a typical visit to the doctors office so he can add a few bucks to his account

There must be meat on those things somewhere, the colored people eat the hell out of opossum
